Prooobably not safe for work, but hilarious nonetheless.

Apparently, Yelling Bird is a Montana Merkel.
-
Oh my god it IS Yelling Bird!
And he's BREEDING!!!!!
-
Hahahaha! I want one, now!
-
And now we can realise that Jeph is his puppet - that's where all the dick doodles come from!
-
Nature is weirder than comics
-
I assume this is a spoof thing? I couldn't find a single hit on "Montana Merkel" other than references to the Onion News Network story, and the interview with the ornithologist sounded pretty bogus. The bird looked a bit like a kookaburra.
-
The Onion is nothing but spoofs.
Of course it's hard to tell, given the state of TV news in the US these days.

I know people who take stuff like the Daily Show and the Colbert Report seriously. It's not so much the state of American TV news as it is the state of mind of the people who watch it.
I thoroughly enjoy both shows, but I would think it's fairly obvious that they're satirical and not actually news...
-
When they say "the state of American TV News" like that, they mean that comic satire programming, like the two you mentioned, are actually better sources of accurate information than some of the actual TV news. That's how bad it is.

It's a well made clip and it's completely believable up to the point where the bird pecks a speed-knob and starts banging stuff

Where on American TV, pray tell, are you finding 'actual news'? I'd beware of taking that seriously, too.
-
Well, there's always C-SPAN...
And various other independent shows, like Democracy Now!, not that they don't have a bias. At least they're not commercially supported, so they're not pandering to their advertisers!
And if you can stand to watch any of them, you're doing a lot better than I am!
-
Eh, I actually do watch C-SPAN. We have the cheapest cable package available in our area, so it's basically C-SPAN, Fox News (ugh), Nick1, Nick2, NickToons, and Boomerang. Oh, and the Science Channel.

They talk about real news in a silly way. It's called satire.
-
The Onion is the embodiment of Poe's Law. Simple as that.
-
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
*breath*
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!

Haha, funny to think, but Al Jazeera is, like it or not, probably the best non-satirical TV news out at the moment. they took all of CNN and BBC's best people a few years ago, and have had the best international coverage and programmed segments for quite a while now as a consequence.
-
Oh god what. :psyduck:

I've noticed this.
