Title: The Effect of Questionable Content On Deployed Personnel
Post by: Wraith11B on 05 Dec 2010, 22:41
So, I've finally found my way to the forums.  Yay!

I shot an email back in... November...?  I think?  I'd check my email client, but I don't have that kind of time right this instant.

A bit about me: I'm Guard, have been deployed to Iraq for the past year and doing absolutely nothing but living on the gravy train for a bit--and driving up and down Route Irish several times a day.  Fortunately, I never felt that I was in danger, and never saw much of anything.  (BTW, I can already hear the hate coming my way: ZOMG-BabyKiller!-ArmyDouche!-Terrorist!-etc.  Go ahead, bring it.  It doesn't phase me.)  Granted, I've also come to the end of my tour in Iraq.  Still very much in the hole, money-wise, and I have nothing to go home to.  Damn

I was directed to QC via XKCD whilst he was down with the personal issues.  I became addicted and read through the entire series.  Twice.  I don't really have a favorite character--I enjoy them all.  I can even tell you exactly who would be whom in my personal realm of (ersatz-)friends.

Anyways, just saying hi to the community, can't wait to hang out around here.

Hello! Unless you kill puppies and kittens for a living I won't hate you. And usually the people here are respectful. Welcome to the forums.

Cheers mate.  I don't kill either for a living, nor do I have any plans to apply to Animal Control anywhere anytime soon... so I think I'm safe.

hehe, I was referred over by Randall too and basically got addicted to it.

P.s. there shouldn't be too many anti-army people here, and I salute you for your service.
