I wrote a little narrative about a year ago. My friend the filmmaker liked it and wanted something that could be short to film to better familiarize himself with his new gear. It was mostly supposed to be just playing with the camera and sound, but I was actually pretty pleased with the final product. I think he did an excellent job with the monologue.
Anyway, there it is.
By the way, it's only three minutes, so no major commitment :P.

That was very cool. I'm really growing to appreciate getting the details right even with a small project like this. Kudos to all involved! :-)

Thank you! We made a dolly out of particle board, an old pair of skates and pvc pipe. The film set looked pretty podunk, but I don't think the visuals suffered as a result. Thanks for watching.
Also, for future reference, this is the correct forum for these sorts of things, right? Even though it's technically a short, it's also homemade and an exercise, so I figured this was the right place, but if this needs to go in entertainment, I can head that way. Mods? What say you?

I'm not a mod, but I think that this is very creative, so my vote goes for the "Creativity" thread.

Yeah, anything "we" do goes in Creativity, anything "they" do goes in Entertainment. Music seems to be an exception. And sometimes cooking.

This is in the right place. It's also a nice piece of work, and I look forward to more.

Loved it! Also, great idea with the particle board and PVC! I wanna copy that dolly idea.
Also, the overall concept of acting reminds me of something Henry Rollins wrote in his book the Solipsist (not an amazing read, but a few really good quips). He talked about how anytime he leaves his house it's like he's putting on this face, playing a part, living a role of someone else just so he wont be bothered. I feel like this short film really encapsulated that concept and was very unique at the same time, if that makes sense. It reminded me of those words but was also very much it's own work.
