Man, small text can be just fine if you keep it to size 9. It is still readable and conveys your point. Smaller than that is stupid.

Apparently the spoiler tags have been fixed for a while now, at least according to est. It just means that none of you thought to try using spoiler tags and used tiny font instead (which i also hate, btw) so you're all just behind in the times.

I've never really complained about it because it's just not that big a deal, but I don't like people writing things too small to see. Then I have to do more work just to read the damn post.

I've just turned on signatures and avatars and come to the conclusion that spoiler tags are the least of many evils. Still, it would be nice to turn them off, and smileys.

Plus I'm pretty happy that the scrolling text keeps going underneath the spoilers. It doesn't need you to read it, it doesn't care, it just keeps rolling.

I'm browsing from my phone right now and the spoiler tags work even better than on desktop. Since you can't mouseover, you don't see what's inside until you deliberately tap on them.

What I want to know is, in the old days when you could break the forum with a single post of suitable extravagance and depravity, if you'd hid such a post behind a spoiler tag would the spoiler tag also have protected the forum until the post was revealed?

I guess what I'm asking is is the spoiler tag like a condom for the internet.
