Day spent out grilling and then playing human Foosball for a couple hours under a cloudless sky without sunscreen. The burned areas are kind of starting to tingle.
And a pair of boots for my Ren Faire outfit arrived today 8-)
-
i wish i was sunburned, it's been raining here far too long
-
As a little kids I was an asshole toward people that were sunburned. Slaps all around.
Man I was a little terror
-
Yeah, I hope that hurts.
-
I love me some schadenfreude.
-
Man, fuck you both.
-
Neither have I. Probably because there's hardly any sun here and when it does come out my family apply massive amounts of sunblock and keep track of how long we stay out for.
-
You deflect all sunlight, I guess.
-
I usually just get trucker's tans these days
-
I got a tiny bit sunburned once on the tip of my nose (it never even peeled) but only because I went straight from spending all my time in doors to spending the three absolutely hottest and brightest days of the summer rotating between a regular pool and a wave pool.
-
yeah all of you except rosie and the OP can go fuck yourselves
-
oh and sam i guess. look i don't got time to read through this thread again all i am saying is if you're some fuck who doesn't get sunburned i'd really appreciate it if you could die in a fire immediately
-
I burn. I can't go outside in the summer without sunscreen.
-
I get sunburned but the OP was clearly not being sun safe. He earned that burn.
-
it's not my fault my people are brown
-
I just sparkle in sunlight. It's a damn nuisance. Especially near impressionable females of the young, stupid and giggling variety.
-
Well it's not my fault that one of my ancestors was Casper the Friendly Ghost.
... no seriously, I am the whitest man in the whole of bath and north-east somerset. I pearlesce in bright sun, hopping instantly from my base paint (corpse grey) to summer colours (beetroot / oxblood), unless - like I must every summer - I slather myself in factor '6 x 1023' sunscreen.
-
yeah my sunscreen is basically correction fluid
-
we should make a thread about getting tan and then dirty it up with bragging about how we never tan, etc
-
if you're some fuck who doesn't get sunburned
I got sunburned on my (first) honeymoon; it made bedtime interesting for a few days...
But I don't burn now, just go a nice copper colour. I reckon there's no flammable material left in me.
-
I got a lot more sun than I should have the other day while skiing (last day of the season). Everywhere on my face except where my goggles were. looks weird.
the worst sunburn I ever had though I remember I was up at 2 am scratching like a crazy person and trying not to scream from frustration. though I think that that was in part because I had a reaction to the anti-sunburn fluid I put on.
-
My brother once got second-degree burns from sunburn, because the $%^O(*("P swimming pool managers at Futuroscope (http://www.futuroscope.com/) had a no-sunscreen-in-the-pool rule. The outdoor pool. In the middle of summer. In France.
We had to call an ambulance and he was hospitalised for several days. Happy holidays folks! Don't forget your travel insurance!
-
I've had some pretty brutal sunburns. The sun terrifies me.
-
Do you walk outside and hiss at the sun?

That's a pretty silly rule, you'd think health/safety concerns would trump those of pool maintenance. Other western nations seem to have such a lackadaisical approach to sun safety.

I think the worst one I've ever had was from a Tiger's game during the middle of summer. I spent the next few days slathered in ointment or lying on my back on the basement floor.
-
I didn't get burnt once this summer past. I think your Northern Hemisphere sun is a bitch sun
-
It depends on where you are. I never burnt on vacations in the south (Florida, Georgia, and Texas). Never. But I burn all the time up north. I'm guessing I'd react differently even farther north as well. So yeah.
Also it's the same sun, jerkface. Maybe your Southern Hemisphere ozone is a bitch ozone.
-
Only because you shits put a fucking hole through it.
-
don't look at me, i don't drive and i've been washing my laundry in cold water since 2005
-

Damn, that's harsh.
Oh well, skin's not peeling and it's already converting over into a tan.
-
I just don't go outside ever because I go red as soon as I do.
You northern hemisphere bitches got it so, so easy.
-
I never put sunscreen on and will walk around in the sun for ages and hardly ever burn (if I do it is generally just on the tops of my shoulders and is not very bad). Ben will go for a walkin the afternoon for maybe half an hour and his face and neck will be all red and hot from the sun. It is a mystery.

I dunno lunchy, you look at lot like my cousin and she was the sort of girl that could get a sunburn under fluorescents.
-
I had never had a sunburn until this summer. I spent most of my summers on the beach as a kid and in the summer I am a tan mother fucker.
It was during a sandcastle building competition after an insane night of drinking and debauchery until like 6am, we started building at 8:30am. We take our sandcastles very seriously here! Our project this year was sort of haphazard especially considering the level of hang-over, but the idea wasn't so much a castle as much as a city built around a mountain with an interior slice cut out so people could walk through
This is what we had done by about 9:30ish

Sadly it's not refined in this photo at all, when we stopped building, around 4, it was pretty majestic. We did not win however due to the fact that we did not know that it was the navy's birthday of like 100 years or whatever so we were supposed to somehow have tributes, or something. I've been doing this for 3 years in a row now and this is the first year we didn't place. :c
ALSO RESULTING SUNBURN DO NOT GO OUT IN THE SUN HUNGOVER. It apparently helps the sunburn destroy you. The worst part was I was wearing sunscreen but the resulting rolling around in the sand and swimming rubbed it off in like 20 minutes :c I was super tan by this point too. Ughghh.

Also to all you complaining about the sun it snow today and I still have my flannel sheets out, screw you guys >:C
-
im wearin cutoffs today.
-
my skin has two shades: blinding white and fire engine red
i legitimately did not know that sunscreen below spf 45 even existed until i was a teenager
-
I almost never burn and I almost never bruise.
My skin is boss.
-
_o
-
Well this is a little awkward.
-
I almost never burn and I almost never bruise.
My skin is boss.
Are you made of iron?
-
You're not, like, the Terminator are you?
-
I'm the Huginator.
-
Andy apparently we wear the same undies.
-
I'm the Huginator.
Yes you are!
-
My neck is totally fried. I don't normally associate skiing with massive sunburns.
-
Dude, you often actually get twice the sun on your exposed skin while skiing, because the snow reflects all the light back up on you. :/
-
Yeah, well, soon all the snow in the world's gonna be melted, so the joke's on it.
-
Yeah, but it's much the same deal with water.
-
Damn you nature, I swear to god we'll kill you before you kill us!
-
Yeah, the reflectivity thing is part of why the only time I got a mild sunburn was pool related.
-
I got a pretty mild burn on the 1st because we were having an outdoor barbecue at a park for my homie's birthday. It has mostly turned into a tan though! No peeling just yet.
