Title: I hate to be THAT person

but I am going to be that person for a moment.

I entered a contest to try to win the chance to meet Neil Gaiman and participate in the audio book version of the 10th anniversary edition of American Gods.  The winner is chosen from amongst the top 20 contestants, who are ranked by votes.

Like I said, I hate to be that person begging for online votes, but I would really like to win this contest and I have limited avenues for whoring.  Facebook and here mostly, as I don't really have time for other message board communities.  Not only would this be cool as I would get to meet Neil Gaiman, who is one of my favorite authors, but I have been told for years that I have a great "phone voice" so I guess although it is a long shot it might be cool to do this and have someone else hear my part and decide to pay me to do some other voice-related thing.  Like, not as a career, but getting paid to read things aloud now and then would be pretty rad.

Anyway, thank you for reading, and thank you times two for voting if you were so inclined!  :mrgreen:
