...she's a humanform AnthroPC like the sales "girls". :-D The full-body costume hides the not-perfectly-human elbow and knee joints she shares with said salesgirls.
-
I don't think so. At the time of her first appearance, I'd suspect the Idoru-style APC wasn't even more than a prototype.
-
When boyfriend-bot showed up, everyone thought he was unusual, and that was long after Pizza Girl was introduced.
-
I feel so bad for Penelope.
-
I think it's just Hannelore's way of teasing her... ;)
(Penelope, that is. Maybe Faye, too.)
-
Main reason I'd doubt that is the reaction that Pizza Girl apparently had to Penelope. It could actually be the  victim Sarah, it could be Hannelore (grotesquely unlikely) or probably just a new potential character. I actually wonder if the costume is a novelty or what, given that they did show several other delivery people in superhero style costumes *starts combing archives*
-
She might be a result of genetic cloning. Hannelore had touched on the idea of meeting a clone of her own (a blood-thirsty Australian version, if I recall), so maybe Penelope's clone is one devoted to serving justice in 30 minutes, or it's free!

Point taken, unless the rest of the cast doesn't *know* Pizza Girl is an AI (assuming she is one) ...
-
I thought it was settled that she was Penelope's unknown cloned twin sister
-
The boyfriend bot may have been unusual though, because unlike other human-sized Anthro's it may have had genitals. Why else would it have been a 'boyfriend' bot. [And thus why it's so creepy!]

Wouldn't have Winslow brought that up with Hanners or the others when he was in the body?
"I have fingers....and toes....and....whats this?" *unzips pants* "An 11th Finger?"
-
I find it highly unlikely that an AI, which is regularly exposed to Pintsize, doesn't know about genitals.
However, it's equally unlikely that he doesn't try these things out, if he has a chance.

"Bait and tackle still in beta."!

"Bait and tackle still in beta." (http://questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=1011)!
FYP.
By the way, in the next few strips we can see how much things have changed in the QCverse...
Full sized humanoid robots aren't that common yet (http://questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=1015).
Tis one's more about the underlying AI.
Even Winslow has pint-sized tendancies (http://questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=1012) (having just gone on a make-a-wish trip made this one a lot funnier for me!)

But there are humaniform AnthroPCs that do have perfectly human joints - or at least joints that become perfectly human as soon as the chassis is activated. (No, I don't know how that is supposed to work, but compare panels three and four (http://questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=2000). Can't imagine it being an art upgrade either, since the chassis only appeared in that strip.)

[I think you're off by one (http://questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=1012) there.
Whoops! Thanks for catching that.

Hards to say if Momo's humanform is supposed to have perfect joints, or if Jeph is simply cutting corners while drawing...normal joints being easier to draw...

Jeph on Joints (from his Tumblr):
I noticed Momo’s new chassis has what appears to be a solid exo-skin. Every other model featured in the latest arc has articulating separate parts connected at the joint like an action figure. Is Momo’s chassis just a later model? Higher quality? And is it an actual flesh-like skin? Imagining that in real life gives me the Uncanny Valley jibblies.
It’s a seamless synthetic covering- it has some actual stretch and give to it, unlike the other chassis which are a semi-deformable plastic like Pintsize, hence their visible joints. It doesn’t have the same texture as skin, it’s just a flesh-toned synthetic.

You have to admit the idea sounds kinda funny in the right context. (http://youtu.be/XQrd44v7Q6w?t=2m5s)
