The avatar is a takeoff on a 007 theme, with the head of Daria (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daria) for Mr Bond. 

And James (the Kugai) is not a temptress.

My Avvie is a fanart pic I picked up from Outpost Daria and done as an adjunct to one of my favorite fics on there.  It's supposed to be a representation of a painting Jane did for Daria to celebrate the first official publication/sale of her first Melody Powers story.

As for the other thing, like you most probably thought, DrPhibes could have figured my gender out by my siggie.

I didn't read your signature untill you mentioned it just now. I go by avatars mostly cus they mostly male/female by which the person is that gender. Except when it are sexy pics or celebrities.
