Happy new year! I am enjoying nostalgic memories of last year's new year parade in Paris, the first time I had seen one. I wish I was there this year, it will be even more amazing for the year of the dragon!

Happy New Year to everyone, especially Susan Riley!  

Susan (a former supervisor of mine) is included because I used to wish her a Happy New Year several times a year, including the Common Era New Year, Chinese New Year, Jewish New Year, and Celtic New Year.  I'm not sure she ever became accustomed to this, because she was surprised every time I wished her a Happy New Year.

Happy New Year! The access station I work at covered one of the Chinese New Year events last year, really fun stuff, particularly the Dragon Dancers, and the little kids doing various dance and song routines were ridiculously cute. Didn't get to do it this year for some reason.

I keep seeing this thread and the Chinese text looks like the nonsense symbols used in place of swearing from out of the corner of my eye, so it looks like someone is super pissed off about New Years.
