Title: Audiogalaxy
Post by: pwhodges on 27 Jul 2012, 10:29
Do any of you you know Audiogalaxy?  Free online service, download an app to your computer and one to your iPhone, and then you can listen to any music on your computer wherever your iPhone has an Internet connection, or in the browser on any computer anywhere.  Freakily easy.  (The music files need to be tagged, of course, which many of mine aren't, but it handles ogg/vorbis and flac as well as mp3 and aac.)

I'm quite impressed, actually - now I have a reason to get all my files properly tagged.

I had never heard of it, but it does sound interesting.  I like that it can handle flac files, since most of my music uses that codec.

I do not think any of my music files are tagged, but I could remedy that.

I've been using this for a while.  It's pretty great!  The battery life on my Ipod classic is better than my phone's and I don't need to have a decent connection to listen to my music with it, though.

Edit:  Forgot to mention that it works on Android as well.

So it's kinda like Amazon's cloud player, but with your own device as the storage/server?
