Title: HumourCrowd repost
Post by: Sploosh on 08 Aug 2012, 10:57
(Not entirely certain this is the right place for this to go, but...)

Apparently, Hannelore and Sven's date is a classic case of friend zoning! Who knew?

I've emailed Jeph about it, because they've cut out his Copyright notice, just thought I should see if there was anything else I could do?

Got a ton of likes when reposted by some spam group, and there's the brilliant comment on their page; "Bitch!"

It's weird to see it pulled out of context and know the story behind it.

I was tempted myself to give an in depth but short description on WHY Hanners acted like that, but to be honest if they're gonna steal from hard worker like Jeph, Why bother?

Well, I've added a comment with a link to the original.

Otherwise, even I as admin here have no better link to Jeph than you have.  I think I get the best response by leaving a message on his Tumblr, but even that doesn't always work.

Maybe; what you see for my avatar is a randomly chosen image from over 200, chosen each time you refresh; but there are probably more Scott Pilgrim than any other.  You may also see: Johan from Anders loves Maria, Arima from Kare Kano, Naota from FLCL, Kintaro from Golden Boy, Marten from QC, Edward from FMA, Shinji from Evangelion, or a few other miscellaneous images.  Some of the images are from non-obvious sources (i.e. not the published cartoons); for instance, I have an original page and sketches for it from Anders loves Maria.

Maybe it's just because I know the context but I can only see Hanners' reaction as nervous and jumping to something fun to continue the date but not involving direct romance. My view is also tainted by that is something I would have done even (did some pretty similar things) to my boyfriend during the early stages of dating, not because I wanted to avoid affection but because it was a new thing and scary and something I wasn't ready to try.
Although I have an issue with the whole friend-zoning concept any way.

Bah, not the point of the thread any way. Hopefully it'll get sorted quick cause taking copyright material ain't cool.

I clicked, and it's 404ing. I guess they took it down.

That suggests that they follow the terms of their statement on copyright as they should.

Welp that's a good thing then, at least it was taken down, i can think of another few websites that need a good wack in the head over their copyrights policy.
