We have as an explicit goal to be a good place for new people. Your normal common sense will get you far, but there are a few oddities here worth reading about. If you hit an unwritten rule, then PM a moderator and we'll make sure it gets added to the written ones.

Yes, there are actually other people besides you who sit on their bums all day long and read webcomics. Don't worry, you're among friends. We actually have a support group, it's called Everybody, and we meet at the bar on thursdays.
