Alright. Seeing as how the WCDT is getting a little heated, I am blatantly throwing out a distraction for people.
If you go to google, type in a celebrity's name and add to it Bacon Number, google will tell you how many degrees separate that celebrity and Kevin Bacon.
For example, Adrian Brody Bacon Number, resulted in 2 degrees.
Adrian Brody and Mickey Rourke appeared in Bullet.
Mickey Rourke and Kevin Bacon appeared in Diner.
So how about a challenge?
The game is 6 Degrees of Kevin Bacon. So how about people try to find more than 6 degrees separating their celebrity of choice and Mr. Bacon?

Sir Francis Bacon does not have a Bacon number. ;)
-
Neither does George Bush.
(Funnily enough, Sir Francis Bacon was the second person I tried)
-
Clint Eastwood's Bacon number is 2
Clint Eastwood and Meryl Streep appeared in The Bridges of Madison County.
Meryl Streep and Kevin Bacon appeared in The River Wild.
-
Neither does George Bush.

George Bush should have a Bacon Number of three because Michael Moore has a Bacon Number of 2 and Dubya and H Dubya both appear in Michael Moore films.
Of course the system fails because it only considers certain credited systems in things like documentaries and only really looks at acting roles.
A while back there were only 50 people with a Bacon number of 7 or higher although there was a demonstrable 9 on the grounds that someone could only be connected by an 8. However they don't get recognised because the production that they were in doesn't get picked up by the scan. I may be wrong but I suspect that all of those 50 people occupy minor or obscure roles in productions in Eastern Europe, Russia or Asia.

This sounds like a bastard child of the Erdös number -game that got started among mathematicians a few decades ago. It uses coauthorship of scientific articles as a hop. Erdös is something like the modern era Chuck Norris of math. My own Erdös number is three, and that's all I care about :-D

My Bacon Number is three.
I appeared in the background of Mr. 3000 with Bernie Mac.
Bernie Mac and Billy Bob Thornton appeared in Bad Santa.
Billy Bob Thornton and Kevin Bacon appeared in Jayne Mansfield's Car.
-
Miguel Ferrer has a Bacon Number of two, which surprises me considering the nature of the roles that connect them.
Ferrer was part of the voice cast for Justice League: New Frontier which has a LOT of big actors in it, Kyra Sedgwick among them, who was in an installment of PBS' American Playhouse series called "Lemon Sky" in 1988, which featured none other than Kevin Bacon.

I found this a while ago, and the highest I could get was Chris Jericho, who's a wrestler who has been in some shitty straight-to-DVD movies.

Apparently there is the even rarer Erdös-Bacon number of people who can count out both ways.

That was an insanely amusing bit of trivia. Thanks!

Kevin Bacon's Bacon number is 0.
Huh.
-
What's the Bacon number of bacon?
-
I think calculating that would make you a bit rasher
-
Not really, you just need to determine Kevin's factor of the Screen Total Rasher Enumerable Appearance number or STREA key as I like to call it.

I don't eat bacon, but my taste for puns fits right in rind here.

I don't eat bacon, but my taste for puns fits right in rind here.
There's a cure for that.
-
All these bacon puns are making me feel green.
-
Well perhaps you can have some eggs and ham.

My patience is starting to get fried

Ugh....I can't find a prominent celebrity or head of state with a bacon number higher than three...and now I'm hungry.
EDIT: FOUND IT.
William Rufus Shafter. (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&safe=off&tbo=d&site=&source=hp&q=bacon+number+william+rufus+shafter&oq=bacon+number+william&gs_l=hp.3.0.0l6j0i10j0l3.1460.5461.0.7663.20.18.0.2.2.0.231.2053.8j9j1.18.0.les%3B..0.0...1c.1.yrklk_wqb9c)
Case closed, class dismissed, good day to you sir.
EDIT AGAIN: Or rather, Google is trying to fuck with me, and calling William McKinley significant. He is not, I assure you.

He died in 1906! How about George Washington? That one's infinite!

So bacon's Bacon number is now 0? Since it has appeared as Kevin Bacon...
