Is it ok to ask for advice?
Speaking of nail polish, anyone else try one of those top-layer polishes that bunches up and makes cracks and the like? Seemed a neat little fad for a few minutes at least. I like the effect sometimes, though of course you've got to have some color contrast.
I wore makeup today. It made me late for class.
i never actually remove my makeup, i just leave it on as a base to work from for the next dayAnd about once every other month, all that built-up makeup is chiseled away with a paint scraper, beginning the process once again.

I know a girl who has her eyeliner tattooed on. OUCH.AAAGHHGGGHGHFUBAR!
So I scrubbed it off with soap on a flannel. And woke up with black eyes.
my foolproof wish idea was "to succeed at whatever I attempt"
Saunas round these parts are pick up joints for teh gays :-PThere's still one sauna like that in Amsterdam I think, although with all the rainbow flags and the whole damn gay street it's not like it's really needed.
I've been curious about nudist resorts and nude beaches, but not very tempted to find one. But I gather that the transition from anxiety and fully clothed to nude and at ease among others is fairly brief. There's not much time to be fully clothed and once you get inside everyone else is naked or wearing a towel or bathrobe anyway and it's just a little weird perhaps but once you get in the sauna and sit/lie down on your towel in a very hot and steamy room it's all good.
you don't have to be trans* to experience discomfort with your body. It's not the discomfort with your body, it's more the fact that others may not know how to deal with how your body looks that would get to me.
The eye makeup is my 'regular' conservative look.
blue eyeliner and a mascara moustache?
I actually get quite anxious about my appearance in situations when the assumptions people make about me based on my appearance matter, like job interviews or networking events. The two strikes against me are that I am very fat* and I have pink hair. I think my best angle is to try and present myself as fastidious about my appearance and help them see my hair as a fashionable choice, and not a sign of rebellion or a counter culture lifestyle, and to look conventionally pretty, in spite of my size*. For this reason I wear makeup that is neutral and 'clean' to show I that I understand and can comply with conventional beauty norms and to counteract the contrary assumption people may otherwise make. I also end up with a great deal of anxiety about what to wear because I feel that I need, again, to show with my clothes that I understand what is appropriate, but I need the clothing to look like it goes with my hair, and not to make the hair stand out more. I think that business clothing that is too conservative, particularly if it does not fit perfectly (and clothing that fits well is hard to find at this size), it looks like I have borrowed it, or that I don't care about how I look. I need to convey that I am not playing dress-up, this is who I am. I am professional, and I am serious about myself and what I do.The eye makeup is my 'regular' conservative look.
To match the equally conservative pink hair? ;D
Kat - I love your words and the fuzzy nails! How did you get that effect?I have a hard time understanding how people can sleep in any other way than naked. Being naked in bed is so very very comfortable.
Body stuff ~ ~
I like being naked, at least for sleeping. I wouldn't walk around the house naked unless it was very, very warm and I had all the curtains closed.
I did it last year for my upper lip hair. It didn't really work, and I followed all of their guidelines and care instructions. :(
I had at least six treatments over a period of 6 or more months.

It takes longer than that.
I also looked at it when you posted it.
Using glue seems like it would rip a layer of nail off?
Makeup, eh? I'm ridiculously basic with it, because I have zero skills yet.Basic well done, and your eyes are good, is better than fancy ill done.
Yeah I barely eat any meat these days. Not on purpose, it just doesn't end up happening. It might be a good idea then if you did some reading about how to make sure you get enough of the "good stuff" from a vegetarian diet, even if you have not decided that you are a vegetarian. :)
Have any of you who've ordered from them before had an problem with the skirt being longer than you ordered/expected? I also got a skirt (this one (http://www.eshakti.com/Product/CL0028100/Her-fifties-poplin-skirt)) which I ordered in "above the knee" but falls solidly at the bottom of my knee as described in the standard. I tried emailing but got a stupid form response. I'll probably just get it hemmed because it's pretty frumpy as is, but is that a "thing" with eShakti? Either not customizing or measuring things weird? 4 inches is a HUGE difference when you're talking about skirt length.
Also one of my best friends knows a really good seamstress who does alterations. This is much the best approach. You can wear the dress while they pin and tuck.
Reviving this thread, because I need to feel pretty -My hair never gets curly, but it can get *very* wavy. I tend to use Paul Mitchell's Slickworks or Straightworks to make my hair behave and not get as big as it is wont to do. But as others said, the longer it gets, the straighter it tends to get. At shoulder-length, my hair gets bigger and rather wavy, but when it was down to my arse, it was totally straight, even without product.
to all successful long-haired people in this forum, how do you get rid of curls like these?
if your hair is curly, brushing it would prob just make it frizzier.
