okay, so, this is actually going to be my first game that I've DMed, and i'm pretty excited! i'm going to be basing this variation on the Geneforge (http://www.spiderwebsoftware.com/geneforge/) series - particular towards the end of the series when murmured rebellion has turned into open warfare.
12 players minimum to start - 15 would work best, I think, but i'll take what i can.
who's in?!
1. TheEvilDog
2. de_la_nae
3. henri bemis
4. Method of Madness
5. TRVA123
6. J
7. cesium133
8. dr. nervioso
9. captain creepshow
10. mtmerrick
11. ChaoSera
12. Loki
13. Game and Watch Forever
Okay, looks like we've got enough players. The game should be set up in the next six hours - that's the deadline if you want to play!
-
I was going to take a break, but what the hell, sign me up.
-
I am, unfortunately, going to take a break. I'm stupid busy IRL and probably need to just not play for the next several games.
-
I was considering a break, but FUCKIN' HELL GENEFORGE, I'm in.
I haven't actually played the series, but I loved the *shit* out of Exile/Avernum 1-3. Spiderweb has some credit in my store is what I'm saying.
-
have you played the latest Avernum incarnation? it's really good, and breathed life back into a series i've played to death (i've probably played the first avernum games at least ten times through each)
-
Naw I haven't looked at any of that in forever.
and i just spent money on games yesterday so I AM NOT CLICKING LA LA LA YOU CAN'T MAKE ME
(p.s. hi! (http://i36.tinypic.com/2lnkcpu.jpg)

!!!!!!!!
-
in!
-
I'm down, even though I'll probably be killed off for my seven shenanigoats and I know nothing about Geneforge (but the little I've read so far sounds cool, and I'll read more before the game starts).
-
no knowledge of the series is required! i'll be writing the backstory as needed.
-
Awesome. Awesome to the max.
-
Im in! although I might be a bit incommunicado this weekend.
-
never heard of generorge, but i'm in.
-
Eh, I'm in. I'll try to be slightly less horrible at it than I was the last game.
-
I am, unfortunately, going to take a break. I'm stupid busy IRL and probably need to just not play for the next several games.
Same here. Maybe next game.
-
Well I think I'm in pretty good shape for the next two weeks to play, not TOO busy. So yeah I'm in.
-
I think this'll be my last one for a while, but I'll insert myself into Unicorn's game like I insert myself into Unicorn ever night ;-)
-
oh my.
-
Okay so not every night.
-
I want in!
It's bound to be great with you in charge, Uni. :-D
-
I want in too!
If I forget to post regulary (which will probably happen) just gimme a quick kick in the rear or something.
-
It's not yet possible to kick someone in the rear over the internet, but thankfully Hanners is working on that technology.
-
Oh, wait, I might get to reshape reality with my thoughts? Why didn't you tell me earlier? :-D
Seriously though, count me in. I am frustrated and need distractions.
-
Work should be less annoying, which means I want in! :-D
-
It's not yet possible to kick someone in the rear over the internet, but thankfully Hanners is working on that technology.
Method.
I would like to massage your balls.

Yay! :-D

*rubs Primo's facial hair*
*rub rub rub rub*
Yep. 'Dis gon' be a good game.
-
So I guess Primo is Merrick? Also please stop rubbing people.
-
Yeah, sorry. I should post a nickname glossary sometime.
*rubs himself*
-
*rubs Gaz's head*
-
not that head you perv
-
*Pushes Gareth into a corner with a 30 foot pole and burns the pole*
Stay there mate.
For the health and sanity of everyone, just stay there. We'll let you out when its feeding time :-P
-
We'll let you out when its feeding time :-P
Do we have to?
-
...And what do I get for lunch?
-
Once every 132443 days.

...And what do I get for lunch?
Shame. (http://www.questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=2351)
-
*rubs Primo's facial hair*
*rub rub rub rub*
what is going on I don't even :psyduck:
-
Role PMs have been sent! Starting thread now.
-
Ok lets get playing!
-
Primo.
Primo.
Primo.
...touch my balls.
-
(you should totally do it, they're Nazi-approved)
-
:psyduck:
but.
but....
i don't want to
:psyduck:
-
*raises hand*
Though, being a Jew, I do not much care for Nazi-approved balls...
-
Neko, I'd really stay away from my Facebook feed for the past hour.
Also, Primo, TOUCH MY GODDAMN BALLS.
-
(http://images.sodahead.com/polls/003352785/5414917887_3r2jed_xlarge.jpeg)
-
Neko, you can just get the French, British, American and Russian members of the board to attack Gareth's balls.
-
Enough already!
-
Paul's going to turn this car around if we're not careful. And I really would like to get to Geneforge-land I hear they have these wicked sweet carousels.
-
hey, de_la_nae, put on these gloves and go finger that pool of essence over there, 'kay?
-
I can see ABSOLUTELY NOTHING wrong with this idea.
(p.s. the entire intro to this game is tempting me sorely to actually go buy Geneforge)
(p.p.s. and all the rest of Spiderweb's stuff)
(p.p.p.s. even the ones I own already)
(p.p.p.p.s. damnit)
-
i'm pretty sure you can get all five for something like $35 on steam.
(this mafia game takes place shortly before the events in geneforge 4, by the way.)
-
ok, so what level of cultural growth are we talking here? dark ages? renaissance? steampunk?
-
dark ages plus magic. there's some magical machinery in the games but it oughtn't make a difference in this game.
-
excellent. i can work with an environment like this.
-
How does Mafia work?
-
There are killer(s) and townspeople (and other roles, too), but the main point is that at night, the killer(s) kill people and the townspeople have to figure out who it is. If any of the killers are alive at the end of the game, they win. If the townspeople execute all the killers, they win. Nobody knows what anyone's role is until that person is dead or the game's over.
-
And the townspeople vote by day, and killers execute by night? And the killers probably use deception?
-
Well everyone votes by day, since everyone who isn't pretending to be a townsperson pretends to be. So yeah, killers use deception.
-
sounds like fun. Just skimmed through the fairy tale, although you seem to have killed all the good people pretty fast ;)
-
There are six other threads :-D
-
Dammit, I miss FlashForward (the 2009 series).
-
Well that was random...
-
I mentioned it here (http://forums.questionablecontent.net/index.php/topic,28865.msg1147051.html#msg1147051).
-
*just gets popcorn and watches the show this time*
-
I told you. I told you so much. :-(
-
I didn't think it was you, but I've been busy so I couldn't defend you. Sorry :(
-
Quack. :(
-
I should have expected something like this. :-D  :-D
-
:( that was fast.
-
(That's what she said)
-
No liquor for you!
-
Poor nae :(
-
:( that was fast.
and yeah i know it's nothing personal
it's just the way that our dice had rolled
sorry!
-
No worries, it's all good! I just wish I'd taken the bastard down with me!
-
Ok, I'm confused. When I first read it I saw it as de_la_nae trying to kill TRVA and failing, dying in the attempt. Then a separate person came and killed TRVA. Did I get that right?
-
No. De_la_nae was minding her own business when the happy fun stabby times happened to her face.
-
i'm still not clear on whether the shapers are considered the 'good guys' or the 'mafia'
-
:-D
-
When in doubt, just kill them all and let Unicorn sort them out
Trivia: The most famous version of this sentiment is actually somewhat of a misquote. The original version is something along the lines of "If we kill them, God will recognize those who are his among them."
-
I had a weird idea in the shower, guys
Have the next Mafia game be about something non-human-like
Like everyone is fruits, and one morning they all wake up and OH GOD THE ORANGE HAS BEEN JUICED
Why no, I am not high, why would you say that
-
Speaking of which, who's gonna be hosting the next game?
*tries to remember who asked for a DM spot*
*is too lazy to go check*
-
Next is Black Sword, followed by myself and then Moment of Madness.
-
My madness is not limited to a moment.
-
^ win

((Aww bugger :-D))
As the Sorceress feels the noose tighten, an epiphany dawns on her. Variables in her head float around, align themselves, they are now in a precise order leading to only one conclusion. Time seems to slow down, despite her body now dropping through the air unsupported and being gradually destroyed, neck first.
A future manifests.
Slightly amused by the cruel irony of fate that chose to finally bestow such knowledge upon her in the moment of her death, she looks closer. Then she tries to breathe a few words, realizing already that she probably will not be able to.
If her throat wasn't incapable of speech by now, and someone was standing close enough, they would hear:
I see...
only darkness...
before me...
Then she ceases to be.
((with due apologies to the writers at Blizzard Inc. (http://youtu.be/Ub0d6kscd10?t=32s)))
-
I...did not know Loki was female.
-
He is, occasionally.
(I thought that since my role name has been revealed now, I would write according to its gender.)
-
Ah. Your profile is frustratingly bare.
-
You guys screwed up again.
-
i really hope i'm not writing too much
-
Not at all :)
-
Dohohoho...hohohohoho...HOHOHOHOHOHOHOHO
-
Santa?
-
Wait.
That means.
Santa is DEAD!
:psyduck:
-
*chills in the ghost lobby* Another one bites the dust. Welcome, brother.
And damn. That assassin is badass. Too bad I am dead now ifyouknowwhatImean.
-
Good job Team Rebel! Sorry I couldn't see you through to the end, though I like to think my final act helped save our plucky assassin (it probably didn't).
So shall we compare notes? I imagine Shapers had to kill/convert all non-Shaper-aligned, just like Rebels had to. But how did Trakovite and non-aligned players take the cup?
-
Just to satisfy my curiosity: Who were the remaining Shapers? Or rather, could you edit the first post with the roles?
-
TRVA123 was the Shaper Leader, Cesium133 was the Shaper Infiltrator/Assassin, Game and Watch Forever was their Guardian, and TheEvilDog was the Shaper Villager.
We uh...we sort of co-opted TED there at the end. He can tell you more about that stuff though.
-
Cesium133 was the Agent.
TheEvilDog was a Shaper-allied villager, but both Trakovite and rebel villagers had a chance at converting other villagers to their side.
The Trakovites would have won had all Shaping characters (Shaper, Guardian, Agent, Lifecrafter, Warrior, and Infiltrator) been killed. Loki (the Trakovite Sorceress) actually targeted cesium133, who was protected at the time - which was a real bloody shame, as I was quietly rooting for their faction.
ChaoSera had an attempt made against her to convert her to be a rebel, but the attempt failed.
I'm actually really disappointed also that EVERY single dice roll was a success. I really wanted to see some mutually assured destruction, y'know? Oh, well.
-
Hell, I was on Team Rebel and I was still rooting for the Trakovites. They got pretty unlucky though. I mean, up until I got shanked we'd gotten pretty lucky and had discovered plenty of Team Shaper targets, we weren't focusing on Team Trak at the time.
-
dog was indeed a welcome addition to our ranks.
-
well then. that was over sooner than i expected. :psyduck:
-
We really had some bad luck.
Gareth was targeted (I assume randomly), which gave away our existence. As far as I understood, he was also our converter?
Then I targeted Cesium... and failed.
Then I got lynched.
Then dr. nervioso got targeted.
We didn't get to kill ANYONE. Except mtmerrick via lynching.
I'd have gone after GWF next, because he caught my slip-up and was getting dangerous to me (and I assumed that Cesium would be protected the next night again.) But I made the mistake of trying to lynch TheEvilDog, which got me killed. Stupid in hindsight.
I am confused about the last battle, though. The way I puzzled it together, GWF (Shaper-allied, as far as I got) was targeted by... henri bemis (Rebel Stabcidic person) and ...a rebel-aligned Shaper who summoned the lizard?
-
The lizard was Henri's, I'm pretty sure.
Also who did kill Gareth? I assumed it was Team Shaper.
-
Both Gaz and nervioso had conversion abilities.
In Geneforge I tend to use a lot of acidic spells for my Agent characters, so that bled over into how I portrayed the Agents in this game.
Technically speaking, henri probably wouldn't be able to Shape a creation that powerful - Agents/Infiltrators are weak at Shaping. However, it wouldn't be at all unlikely for, say, J to have made the creation and for henri to have assumed control over it.
Henri kind of randomly targeted Gareth just as kind of a crapshoot at the beginning. That was disappointing.
Overall: This was my first DMed game, and I was worried that A) I made it too complicated and B) I might have nerfed the Shapers too much. I think I managed to avoid either of those too terribly badly, though - I hope.
-
Both Gaz and nervioso had conversion abilities.
...
...
That's. Nice to know.
-
yeah, overall things went pretty well for La Résistance. i spotted evil dog on night 1, then trva on day 2. then managed to convert the former and kill the later on night 2.
-
so what was the sorceress's powers anyway?
also, i was a bit worried over the fact that unicorn used feminine pronouns when describing our hitman. thought that might give henri away.
-
You are the Sorceress. You are part of the Trakovite Rebellion, a rebellion that wishes to see an end to the art of Shaping, seeing it as evil and destructive regardless of who is wielding it. You are a skilled and accomplished thaumaturge, however, and see the larger rebellion as a perfect time to put your skills to use in reducing the amount of Shapers in the world.
Once per night after the first night you may target any player to kill. If targeted, you have a 30% chance at taking your attacker with you, and a further 20% chance at slaying your attacker and surviving.
Your distinct advantage, despite your small size, is that neither the Shapers nor the rebels are aware of your existence.
You win when all Shapers (loyalist and rebel) are slain.
The other people you know to be in your faction are Gareth and dr. nervioso. You may PM each other at night.
Note to self: don't get lynched. If one of you had targeted me at night, Unicorn might have gotten her "mutually assured destruction".
-
Cesium133 was the Agent.
Oh, well.
For the record I would like to state that 'her' is not exactly the right pronoun to adress me. :D
-
Well that was fun. Thanks for running it Unicorn.
-
who is hosting the next sign-up thread?
-
I was basically the PR person. I was allowed to try to convert non-rebels to our cause. I brought TED over, but when I failed to convince ChaoSera, he knew I was a rebel. That's when I decided to get creative before he could do anything with that information.
-
who is hosting the next sign-up thread?
Black Sword I believe. Then myself.
-
Yeah, I'm a little confused and feel like the odds may have been against us a bit, but that's probably just because I don't have a clear view of the big picture. It's all good though since I had fun and the writing of the events was freakin' awesome, so no real complaints. :-)
-
I was basically the PR person. I was allowed to try to convert non-rebels to our cause. I brought TED over, but when I failed to convince ChaoSera, he knew I was a rebel. That's when I decided to get creative before he could do anything with that information.
Yeah, unfortunately I was busy this weekend so I didn't have time to react on your attempt. Only saw the message this morning anyway :psyduck:
-
It's ok, I found out the result and jumped on the opportunity pretty much right away.
-
At least I survived. Gonna count that as kind of a victory for me
-
ChaoSera had an attempt made against her to convert her to be a rebel, but the attempt failed.
I'm actually really disappointed also that EVERY single dice roll was a success.
Not EVERY single dice roll, you just mentioned my roll that failed ::) Also I honestly didn't realize until now that there were three factions or that killing all the Shapers wouldn't result in our victory...but wait, didn't all the Shapers die? Or was ChaoSera also a shaper?
-
Nope, I was just a simple villager.
-
So all the Shapers died and the rebels still won? Then again, I guess all the Trakovites were dead at that point.
-
I thought J/henri bemis were Shapers?
Technically speaking, henri probably wouldn't be able to Shape a creation that powerful - Agents/Infiltrators are weak at Shaping. However, it wouldn't be at all unlikely for, say, J to have made the creation and for henri to have assumed control over it.
-
Nope, they were rebels. That's not to say they didn't have unauthorized shaping powers.
-
It's one of those things where the same word is being used in two different contexts.
Technically both Team Shaper and Team Rebel are Shapers, in that they use Shaping magic.
The other meaning of Shaper, which if we're not careful might not be clear, is the pro-government faction in the fighting, which J and Henri were anti-government.
-
I think that was part of my problem... I assumed Trakovite = rebel, which wasn't the case.
-
Well, they were also rebels!
In short, the Shaper faction were the Shapers in power.
The Rebel faction were illegal Shapers fighting the ones in power.
And the Trakovites were rebels against all Shaping arts.
Both Gaz and nervioso had conversion abilities.
...
...
That's. Nice to know.
Hey, they could have told you.
You were, by the way, the hardest person to kill - every other character had a 30-40% chance of killing their attacker, but you had a 50% chance to make up for the fact you were the only one with any real power in your faction. It's a shame you were lynched.
also, i was a bit worried over the fact that unicorn used feminine pronouns when describing our hitman. thought that might give henri away.
Yeah, that was consciously done.
Yeah, I'm a little confused and feel like the odds may have been against us a bit, but that's probably just because I don't have a clear view of the big picture. It's all good though since I had fun and the writing of the events was freakin' awesome, so no real complaints. :-)
Well, no one had a perfectly clear view - except for me, which is why you should accept me as your new god. *sage nod* But thanks! I really enjoyed writing these out. I wish it had been taken more seriously as a roleplay, but as long as everyone enjoyed themselves it's no big deal.
Except Gaz, fuck that guy.
For the record I would like to state that 'her' is not exactly the right pronoun to adress me. :D
Sorry! I was going by the "Sera" in your name. (Just like how I was going by the "henri" in bemis's name and misgendering her. Oops.)
-
That was awesome. I may be trawling through the threads trying to piece together what happened for a project that's come to mind. Unicorn, do/did you have any notes as to what happened in this (spider )web.
-
Not a 8it.
er, have any questions? i don't know what you exactly want to know.
-
Nah, doesn't matter - I can do fine without them, it just means that I'll have to be less lazy. :)
-
Luckily Unicorn, due to my incredibly early death, I didn't have any fun whatsoever!
Good game to bow out on for a few rounds
-
I don't quite know how it got so silly. I was totally going to play it straight, but then I got infected. I was going to be the scaredy-cat who turned out to be the toughest Rebel trooper, but then...well, *shank*.
-
Hey, they could have told you.
I know, I know, I wasn't complaining about you
You were, by the way, the hardest person to kill - every other character had a 30-40% chance of killing their attacker, but you had a 50% chance to make up for the fact you were the only one with any real power in your faction. It's a shame you were lynched.
Woha. Thanks. I think it balanced it out well enough.
-
i think the deciding factor was probably that we managed to take out chaosara so early.
which is probably why the wolfking/godfather is usually protected from identification.
-
I think you mean TRVA123.
-
Yeah, ChaoSera never actually died.
-
yeah, i measny trva
-
Actually, the most important role wasn't the leader, but the Agent/Infiltrator - they were the ones who were sent out to kill people.
Had they been killed, either the Guarden/Warrior or the Shaper/Lifecrafter would take over the role, but at greater risk of their own death. It never came to that, though.
-
I'd say my role was arguably even more important. Successfully killing someone means their team is -1. Successfully converting someone means their team is -1 and your team is +1.
-
yeah, i measny trva
You speak English?
-
I'd say my role was arguably even more important. Successfully killing someone means their team is -1. Successfully converting someone means their team is -1 and your team is +1.
yeah, but you wouldn't have been able to convert anyone important - only villagers.
-
Oh...didn't know that.
-
Had you attempted to convert a Shaper, your role would have been revealed, and you would have failed.
You are a Rebel. As a villager, you hold no special powers, but you can speak with other villagers to try and bring them to your side. Be warned, though, as this only has a 50% chance of working, and your role is revealed to whomever you try to win over.
-
Gotcha.
-
Yeah, ChaoSera never actually died.
I... am... INDESTRUCTIBLE! BOW DOWN BEFORE MY POWER! MWAHAHAHAHAAAAAA
-
actually, the reason you didn't die is because you're such a non-threat there's no point in bumping you off
/
-
Yeah, ChaoSera never actually died.
I... am... INDESTRUCTIBLE! BOW DOWN BEFORE MY POWER! MWAHAHAHAHAAAAAA
Also, you do realise that because you said that, you should now expect to have a container of liquid nitrogen to explode right over your head.
-
More importantly, it might or might not be the case that I make you somewhere around second or third priority target the next time we play on opposite sides :D
-
actually, the reason you didn't die is because you're such a non-threat there's no point in bumping you off
/
Aww man, way to kill the mood.
That's okay Loki. I'm indestructible after all. :psyduck:

Chaos Cera? (http://images2.fanpop.com/image/photos/14000000/Scott-Pilgrim-vs-the-World-Trailer-Stills-michael-cera-14097667-850-450.jpg)
-
I was hoping that that was a final fantasy reference. oh well.
-
I thought it was a reference to a Japanese electronics company (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kyocera).
-
i just said that in another thread
-
Great minds think alike...
...or something like that, I guess. :psyduck:
-
random:
when i read the name ChaoSera, my brain always pronounces it as Kyocera (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kyocera)
:psyduck:
-
That's what I get for not reading the Random Thoughts thread. :psyduck:
-
That's pretty much how I pronounce it, just slightly different (kay-oh-sarah rather than key-oh-sarah).
-
I always love the confusion my nick creates. Happens pretty much everywhere :-D
-
my nickname is actually what p. much everyone calls me in meatspace
and you know
i'm okay with that.
-
Oh man, now I want to get my friends to call me Unicorn.
Oh well.
-
ChaoSera is Einhorn! Einhorn is ChaoSera!
-
Dies Einhorn ist nicht ChaoSera! Sag mir nicht solch ein wahnsinnig Ding! :x
-
My nickname was altered from another nickname which was altered from another nickname which I made based on my surname (which is nowhere to be found in the current one). The constant in all three? "Method"
-
So you're saying you are Clifford Smith? Gotcha. 8-)
-
My nickname was altered from another nickname which was altered from another nickname which I made based on my surname (which is nowhere to be found in the current one). The constant in all three? "Method"
My nick was altered from another nick, which was altered from another nick, which was a biblical reference, no idea why. I think I just liked the word.
People who are good at deducing are now probably able to at least get the first nickname. :-D
-
My sign in name is my actual name.
Cosmic.
I've used other names though. My Twitter handle is @GizzarkHenry, which is a joke about wrestling combined with a joke about football combined with my initials and I've used it ever since.
I used to play Counter Strike as Major Rawne (from the Gaunt's Ghosts books) but later on I played as Sparkles, and I would hit on people while playing to try to make them sexually uncomfortable. I was in a clan called C.JFF.
And my original online name was DynamiteKid, after a wrestler whose matches I've barely watched and all signs point to him being a douchebag. Was just a cool name.
-
My name is from Snoop Doggs "R&G The masterpiece". I never listened to the album. Before that I called myself Maneater. It was a reference to Aqua Nox, a game I loved, and I didn't speak English too well back then.
-
So you're saying you are Clifford Smith? Gotcha. 8-)
I was never Method Man but people have called me that before. True story - I once shared a blunt with him.
-
One of my friends had a childhood imaginary friend named Masterpiece, who was a sock puppet (an actual sock puppet, not the internet kind) that lived in the wall. I'm assuming that's not you, but it's what I think of when I see your username or hear the word .
I am obviously from the twilight zone (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Time_Enough_at_Last).
-
Since we're all sharing.
Mine is a modification of an older screen name, which in and of itself is a bit of a joke. More 'heh' than "haha'. It involves French and words that sort of sound like other words, but it isn't clever in the least, I promise.
I've been using another name for almost a decade, though it gets very little active use now. If you happen to see a Kell4077 floating around in the internet anytime since the early 00s, and they've pissed you off, my bad. Unless you were being a real douchemuffin. Anyway, it's just a mixture of Kell from the Star Wars X-Wing series (Wraith Squadron > you), and the unit designation from M*A*S*H. What can I say, I was in junior high or early high school, mashing together two things that I liked seemed a good way to do it.
Let me think...I spent a lot of my Warcraft years as Teng Darkheart, a sufficiently angsty orc warlock name for sufficiently angsty (and grumpy) 'omg so dark' roleplaying.
That's most of them though. Some people have, like, a billion names, I could never keep up with that.
-
my name is the 10th letter of the alphabet.
-
What does it stand for? Jay?

My name is from the nickname I gathered at primary school (I'm really not sure how) and some numbers, since the was some Nintendo site I registered on that required that you had numbers in your username. I have been known to go by shadow*cat, after my cat, though that's on like one site that I haven't been on since...2003? There might be a Pilchard124 here and there that is me when I forget my password as 123. City Of Steam has me as PStronginthearm because I rolled up a Dwarfish Gunner and apparently I have no personality outside of references and memes.

I once was doing coding work for a minor Neopets clone, but the owner and me didn't get along. I closed my admin account, but wanted to remain a grey eminence on the site. I needed a username which wouldn't be associated with my other usernames, so I chose LokiRagnarok, because I was watching the anime Matantei Loki Ragnarok at the time and of the association with the mischief. Of course, Loki is nicer.

mtmerrick has been my username everywhere as long as I can remember. Merrick is my last name, M and T are my first and middle initials.
There are also a couple sites I go by Thoron, though I'm not active there anymore... Dunno why I didn't use mtmerrick there.
EDIT: woooooo 1000 posts!

I assumed there was a mountain or something.
1000 posts? Jesus Christ, how long have you been here Primo?

40 days, averaging a touch over 25 posts/day.
Speaking of, I'm trying to think of something good to say for my 1024th...post. Balls.

"Good too"?
The books are FREAKING AWESOME!
I like them way better than the show (though for a book->TV conversion it's incredibly well done and great to watch). But then again, I pretty much always like the books better than their TV/Movie conversions so I might not be the best judge for that.

Well, yeah, I love them. I am glad I started on the show a little before starting the books, though, since Tyrion is awesome, but reading Tyrion as Peter Dinklage makes him even more so.
