Magic flows through everyone.
Of course, some people harness their powers better than others, and the ones that show great promise are given the gift of life.
They are brought into the folds of the Shapers.
The Shapers rule the world and have done so for centuries. Using their powers, they can accomplish what no mere magician can do: they can Shape life and mold it to obey their every whim, life that will fight for them - life that would die for them. Culture after culture has been ground out under the Shapers’ heel as they used their powers to control all of Terrestia, their powers godlike and unquestioned. After all, the penalty for learning the magic of the Shapers...
...is death.
But, even the mighty must fall. On the assumption that they were infallible, they let themselves grow weak, and the penalty for hubris is never mild.
War was sweeping their lands. Outsiders had grasped the secrets of the Shapers for their own gain, warping them and giving them power beyond their control. Thousands died, cities were destroyed, and monsters roamed the lands, causing widespread destruction where their masters failed to control them. People, angry at Shaper subjugation, rebelled openly - and were killed, or forced to flee where they could not be found.
The eastern lands of Terrestia were falling to the rebellion as they twisted Shaper magics into horrors never seen before, towering behemoths of rotting flesh and mindless hunger, creatures that could control the mind, and worst, lumbering reptilian creatures that could Shape life of their own. The Shapers, horrified at these developments, brought even stricter rule, lashing out at anyone who defied them, bringing their judgment down on the slightest hint of rebellion with an iron fist. In many places, this was readily accepted: no matters how bad the Shapers were, the terrors that the rebellion had unleashed upon the world were worse, even if they were being sent forward to tear down the dictatorial rule of the Shapers.
In the northern-most part of eastern Terrestia, west of the mountains, lies the jewel city of Porphyra. It was a port city, and when the rebels struck, it was one of the first ones to go. The people were driven out overnight, with fire and monstrosities, the Shapers that were there too unprepared to fight back. Now, a year later, the city has been all but abandoned, an elderly Shaper having taken over and making the most powerful creations allowed by Shaper law to patrol the streets and keep the band of refugees there safe.
But in the night, the Shaper had been slain, dragged out into the street and left on display. His creations, without any guidance, ran from the city, escaping into the wilds.
War had come back to Porphyra, and no one was safe.
Rules:
1. Days will last for 48 hours or a player receives more votes than half the number of players still alive to get lynched.
2. Nights will last for 24 hours. Roles which require PMing the GM have to do so by this time frame or else they don’t

Players may PM each other at night.
3. Roles of people who die will be revealed.

Day 1
-
Gotta say the ladies tonight are looking...
...Shapely.
*puts sunglasses on*
*YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH*
-
This reality looks bleak.
-
I'm off to the armoury to get, Gareth's puns are so bad I need the protection.
-
*wanders around town aimlessly*
-
I'm off to the armoury to get some armour, Gareth's puns are so bad I need the protection.
Damn this damned attention defici---OOOOO! SHINY ARMOUR!
-
*sees strange man squeeing over armor*
...
"watcha doing?"
-
You ain't from around here, are ya?
-
"nope. i take it you are?"
-
Son, I'm from nowhere.
-
You're from Nowhere? I've been to Anywhere and Someplace Else, but never to Nowhere! I've heard such fantastic tales! Tell me, what's it really like?
OOC: Relevant (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/images/oots0226.gif)
-
Boy, what I mean is I've got no home to go to.
And I don't appreciate sass.
I advise you to arm yourself, and not just because I'm in two minds about whether I like the way you look.
-
Oh man oh man oh man, this suuucks man, this is just...I mean...come on! We weren't hurting anyone!
-
*chews gum*
Anybody care to just own up and save us some trouble?
-
*picks up katatna*
"consider me armed. i didn't catch your name stranger?" I say, watching Nae freak out of the corner of my eye
-
I rode into here on A Horse With No Name.
No seriously. That's my horse's name, A Horse With No Name.
My horse is A Horse With No Name.
THIRD BASE
-
"Excellent. I just walked. I woke up in the desert but i had no horse or name. Didn't even remember anything 'bout myself. What is this place again?"
-
Oh great just what we need a badass and a sword guy and rebels and rogue creatures and[/size]...*wheeze, gasp*...
-
"are you feeling ok, miss?"
OOC: also, i'm now "the sword guy" :P i kinda like that.
-
Anybody care to just own up and save us some trouble?
I'm tempted to say it was me just to get a quick death, because if what really killed the Shaper comes back, that'll be a luxury none of us will find...
-
GM note: This day will only last 24 hours.
-
Better get fitted for that armour then.
-
Shit, someone killed the Shaper?
*takes the body from display and covers it* He certainly deserved a more honorable departure than this.
-
Now I'll just admit I have no bleeding idea what's going on here. I had a lot to drink last night and I don't think these are my pants-
Wait, the shaper's dead?
Well, shit. I'm gonna lock myself up and drink some bourbon.
-
Keep me some whiskey. I'll have some when they finish my order.
-
*looks at location across the street from us*
*it appears to be a restaurant/pub*
Huh.
*sheaths katana and goes over*
*sits down at bar and looks at who's next to me (Nerviouso) *
"what's this you said about a 'shaper'? "
-
/me enters the bar dressed in a painter overall. He looks over to the bar and approaches merrick.
Excuse me, would you mind standing up? I really need to paint this yellow before the sun turns any redder.
-
I look at you like you're crazy, but stand up to allow you painting access.
-
Thanks a lot, fella.
...
*frantically searches pockets*
...
Oh sweet lords no.
Do YOU have a paintbrush on you?
How am I supposed to see the future if I don't have my paintbrush?
-
Is a paintbrush enough, or do you need some heroin, too?
(OOC: If you weren't making the reference I thought you were making, this (http://heroeswiki.com/Isaac_Mendez) is who I figured you were pretending to be.)
-
(OOC: Actually, no, not consciously at least. I was thinking about "This reality looks bleak. (http://forums.questionablecontent.net/index.php/topic,28865.msg1146839.html#msg1146839)" and my mind took a few weird turns from there. But I have seen Heroes.)
*ahem* Maybe an explanation is in order. *takes dramatic stance*
I, the great Loki The Great, believe I have found a method how I - no, how ALL of us - can see into the future.
/me waits for the reaction of the audience. Realizing he failed to get any, he continues as if lecturing in front of an audience.
See, energy, energy. Eeeenergy is what brings us together today.
The energy aids all of us, and a powerful ally it is. It creates life, makes it grow. The energy surrounds us and binds us.
It is, I believe, influenced by thoughts. Most people live in the now, sparing few thoughts on the future. Do you know why? Because of the things people are surrounded by. Those things, their colors, their arrangement, they prevent our minds from focusing on the energy of the future, making true rationalist decisions impossible.
I believe those are barriers that our mind can overcome, given enough help. In order to achieve this, we need to change the things around us into a state which is most beneficial for the flow of the energy, so that it may be tapped into by our minds more swiftly to make wise choices. It is our sacred duty. A duty all of us must uphold, but unfortunately, only I, the wise Loki The Wise, am wise enough to recognize the patterns which we must create. I think once the alignments of all things are right, we will be able to see the future - in a giant Flash Forward.
Would you mind balancing this ball on your nose for a few minutes?
-
So, uh, I guess without the Shaper, we'd need another Shaper. Anyone know how to do Shapin'? 'Cause I suck at it.
-
I can shape a mans face into a bruised and bleeding one
With my fists
-
You sound violent.
-
Only when I need to be. I'm no thug
-
Now I'll just admit I have no bleeding idea what's going on here. I had a lot to drink last night and I don't think these are my pants-
i saw some pants stuck to the ceiling back at the pub, might want to check and see if those are yours.
[ooc: sorry i'm late to the party guys]
-
I don't know why people insist on leaving their pants in my pub. Their walk home must be very cold.
-
Maybe they consider the pants a form of tipping you?
-
*walks around collecting everyone's discarded pants*
People wanting these back will have to pay me for them.
GM note: This day will only last 24 hours.
:-X
We may want to do something about this...
Warning - while you were typing another use for the pants has been found.
... Unless they have a clothes hamper for a tip jar, I doubt it. These pants are mine! :x
-
(OOC: Is that Unicorn's way of telling us to get busy lynching?)
-
You know, the reason why the pants are lying around is because they DON'T have a clothes hamper for a tip jar. If they did, they were all in one place.
Sounds reasonable to me, anyway.
[OOC: I dunno Madness, it might be. We might just start with it either way!]
-
(OOC: Is that Unicorn's way of telling us to get busy lynching?)
No, it's just my way of getting the uneventful first day out of the way. Which, by the way, ends in 2 hours.
-
Guys, stay the hell away from my pants, or my spare pants or any potential pants I might buy! Keep away! Or so help me, I will shape your life into a world of pain!
-
*draws katana and points it at Evil*
"A) you're wearing pants. Keep them to yourself. B) there will be no shaping here."
-
... I think Evil's pants are on too tight.
Warning - while you were typing someone drew their blade in a threatening gesture.
If you kill each other, could you make sure not to bleed on your pants? It's hard to get the stains out and it's not like you're going to need them afterwards.
-
*considers GWF's statement*
"yeah Ok. If I die you can have my pants."
-
Night 1
(Send in your PMs!)
-
so, are we boned?
-
OOC: well, someone is.
IC: "it's getting dark....."
-
Yes...that tends to happen at night.
-
In case any of you die tonight, I'm stealing your stuff.
If I die....no, you can't have my stuff and so help me I will haunt you all to death if you try to take it!
-
*considers GWF's statement*
"yeah Ok. If I die you can have my pants."
Argh! No! If the pants move, I will have to recalculate the perfect arrangement all over again! And don't get me started on how much the blood spilling would change it!! Blood is one of the most basic manifestations of life energy! If it is just... spilling around, the whole energy flow changes!
*breathes*
*calms down*
Look, just don't move the pants, don't spill blood and arrange your flower pots at home into a dodecadon, but only if it's a Monday. Then everyone should be fine.
Warning - while you were typing the arrangement of the universe has changed again.
Argh. Back to the drawing board.
-
"if the pants move.... Like this?"
*takes a few steps forward*
"sorry buddy. The pants moved."
"... "
"and what if I don't have any flowerpots? "
-
You... monster :psyduck:
-
"for moving inside my pants, or for not having flowerpots?"
-
oh god oh god oh god it's night and they'll come back and if they don't come back then the rogue creatures will and oh god oh god i think i need to just i need to just go have a little lie down... *wheeze*
-
"well I got a sword. So if you want someone to watch your back on your way home or something, I'm game."
*looks at Loki and the others*
"its getting very unusual here as it is"
-
yeah watch my back with the sword until you put the sword in my back no thank you no no nononononono i think i'm just gonna
*runs away*
-
....
"didn't you just say you were going to get-"
*sigh*
"Come back! Do you want to get killed? The general consensus seems to be that this place is very dangerous at night!"
If I go after her they're going to blame me do her death...
-
We shouldn't be splitting up right now - I'll come with you. We need to stick together.
Hear that? we need to stick together!
-
"Yeah, ok. I'll go too"
*follows Nae and Henry*
-
Oh, I meant I'd go with you to go after de_la_Nae! We should get her back here, but I'm definitely not running off on my own.
-
"Well we're both going after her together, k? Let's go."
*Heads off, with henry following*
-
*runs after de_la_Nae with mtmerrick*
We're more formidable as a group! Come back! *under her breath, she sighs.* 'we need all the help we can get'
-
Henri's right. We need to stick together.
-
to method: "Are you coming too?"
-
Might as well.
-
*calls out to method* "might wanna grab yourself a sword or something from the armory across the street then"
-
You guys can go wherever you like. I'm not sure I trust anybody round here. There are shapers around. I smell it in the air.
-
Oh, you can feel the delicate energies too? Splendid! Together, we shall change the course of the world!!
-
I'm not changing the course of nothing with anyone. I don't do 'together.' Except with my horse.
...not in a sexual way.
...unless it's a REALLY long trip.
-
ohgod oh god oh god oh god they're chasing me aaaaaaaaah *hides*
-
I'm not changing the course of nothing with anyone. I don't do 'together.' Except with my horse.
...not in a sexual way.
...unless it's a REALLY long trip.
/me seems Loki hasn't really been listening to you.
You have a thing....
for trips? I love trips too. I have that one friend, she loves trips too. Her name is Dora.
Maybe we can go on a trip of discovery of all those wonders that await us in the future! Come, join me! But please wear another vest. How about... green dots on white?
-
ohgod oh god oh god oh god they're chasing me aaaaaaaaah *hides*
OOC: Is this a game mechanic going on here?
What seems to be the trouble?
-
OOC: Naw, just me being silly.
-
*calls out to method* "might wanna grab yourself a sword or something from the armory across the street then"
No thanks. I don't like violence, and even if I did, if we're up against someone who can kill a shaper, what good would a sword do me?
-
screw weapons. i want some armor.
-
You can't have any! I bought all the armour! Granted, I can't move, but I'm still the best protected person in town...unless someone has a can opener...
-
I have a can opener!
I call it a chainsaw!
-
What's a saw?
-
*calls out to method* "might wanna grab yourself a sword or something from the armory across the street then"
No thanks. I don't like violence, and even if I did, if we're up against someone who can kill a shaper, what good would a sword do me?
"even a shaper can be killed be a sneak attack" I say, not actually sure of this fact, but choosing to say it to reassure myself - and everyone else
-
What's a saw?
I'll tell you what it is. Its witchcraft, witchcraft I tell you!
-
While I have never heard of a chainsaw, chains and saws are both pretty normal, non-witchcrafty things...
You're accusing this man of witchcraft for wrapping a saw in chains?
-
Well, I am accusing him of being crazy if he does such a thing as wrapping witchcraft in chains.
Sometimes I feel like I am the only sane man around here, really.
-
My character's expression: :psyduck:
*chooses to ignore Loki and continue looking for Nae*
-
Just... can't... help... myself....
You can't have any! I bought all the armour! Granted, I can't move, but I'm still the best protected person in town...unless someone has a can opener...
*tips TheEvilDog over and runs away*
-
*tips TheEvilDog over and runs away*
*Rolls after Henri Bemis like the boulder in Raiders of the Lost Ark, cackling all the while*
-
*watches antics, wishing there was some sort of device existed that would make a visual record of the even that could be replayed for others to see*
*shakes off thoughts and continues pursuit of Nae*
-
*gets out short dagger*
This is a strange place. *cleans dagger*
-
Ahhh! *runs off, arms flailing wildly*
I'm sorry! I'm sorry!
But hey, at least you can move now!
-
I'm just cleaning my weapon. Nothing to worry about.
-
I'm just cleaning my weapon. Nothing to worry about.
Well you did say it was small. Woo! *rolls along and flattens Henri before crashing into the tavern*
-
Doesn't need to be big to make a loud noise.
-
(seriously where's nae :psyduck:)
-
Jokes and shenanigans punctuated the night, the villagers attempts to keep a light atmosphere going during a war sustaining them. They banded together, moving from place to place in a group to make sure they stayed safe, but one person stayed behind.
Dawn broke over the once beautiful city.
Gareth's body was laid out in the street, badly mutilated. If there was a fight, he didn't put up much of one - his knife was unsheathed, his body covered in stab wounds and severe burns, flesh and armour burned away, melted from what could only be an acidic spell. Very little on his person survived the attack, except for a few papers, stating opinions of the sort that get one killed. He was, in fact, a Trakovite, a small, radical group of rebels who believe that Shaping is dangerous no matter who wields the power, and his death, bloody and merciless, showed the dedication which he showed towards the cause.
Day 2
-
Mtmerrick was out all night with Method and Henri, searching for Nae to no avail. Returning to the village be saw the crime scene, and after hearing he was anti-shaper, suspicion immediately fell on Loki.
-
NOOOOOOOOOOOOO! NOT GARETH! HE WAS ONE OF THE GOOD ONES! (In so much as he was always good for a few jokes)
WHO WOULD BRUTALLY KILL SOMEONE LIKE THAT? WHAT KIND OF INHUMAN MONSTER WOULD ACT LIKE THAT?!
And I'm a little suspicious of Mtmerrick, insisting on know where de_la_Nae was, seems like someone wanted a secret meeting, despite what they might be saying. Mtmerrick for a lynching.
-
What no! I didn't know where Nae was, I just didn't want her to get eaten by wolves out something, which at this point I don't know if she has or not. *sadface* I mean seriously, who runs out into the woods, alone, at night, with a murderer on the loose?
(unless Nae is the killer? Unlikely, I think)
-
Mtmerrick was out all night with Method and Henri, searching for Nae to no avail. Returning to the village be saw the crime scene, and after hearing he was anti-shaper, suspicion immediately fell on Loki.
...what? There are bound to be a few Shapers in this city. And our fella here had
papers, stating opinions of the sort that get one killed.
Of course some Shaper would be out to get him, but that's not me.
Heck, if I could Shape reality to my will, do you think I would be running around with a paintbrush?
(Okay, sometimes I forget it at home. (But then I would still be able to, you know, Re-Shape that darn barstool to be yellow. Life would be much quicker that way.))
(OOC: Sorry if I clashed with any lore. Being new to the setting, I am still a little bit fuzzy on what Shaping can or cannot do.)
-
I never accused you of being a shaper. But you being a shaper fanboy/sympathizer/servant would make perfect sense. That's motive rift there.
-
*shuffle shuffle*.......
.........*shuffle, rustle*.......
......................*shuffle rustle ROLL!*
A tumbleweed rolls through an alleyway.
-
Why would I be serving Shapers? Their goals are not mine and vice-versa.
-
Well you certainly believe in their mumbo jumbo...
*stares at mysterious tumbleweed*
-
*stares at you blankly* You... don't believe in Shaping? That's like...not believing in gravity! Or this chair! Or my paintbrush! (It's at my home. I swear.)
The one thing about Shaping is that it doesn't stop to exist whether you believe it or not. I have seen Shapers create creatures beyond your wildest imaginations. One can only wonder what they might accomplish given enough time...
*leans in conspiratorially* Besides, I think it would be unwise to anger someone with so much power as the Shapers by speaking ill of their believes.
-
I never said it wasn't real. I'm just not sure if it's... the proper way to go about things. If you haven't noticed, I'm new around here. But as of right now you seem to be screaming "I killed the infidel!"
-
Now that I think about it, I am probably putting myself in danger by just associating with you, and I tire of this conversation.
I humbly request from our Shaper overlords that Mtmerrick be removed from this world.
-
Now that I think about it, I am probably putting myself in danger by just associating with you, and I tire of this conversation.
I humbly request from our Shaper overlords that Mtmerrick be removed from this world.
I would sooner see yourself removed!
You already revealed yourself as a crazy man and who else but a crazy man would do such a despicable thing as what was done to poor Gareth over there.
*points to Gareth's mutilated corpse, which still lies openly on the street*
-
who else but a crazy man would do such a despicable thing as what was done to poor Gareth over there.
Well, uhm.
Anyone who heard him talk (http://forums.questionablecontent.net/index.php/topic,28865.msg1147392.html#msg1147392)? I mean, seriously.
-
This would not be the first time that one crazy person murders another.
-
That may very well be true, but I feel you are now scrambling for arguments to support a decision which you already made. A person dies and you are like "Oh, alright, the crazy professor must have done it". :psyduck: You locked in onto me, instead of looking for other candidates. The wise move would be looking out for who had a motive to kill Gareth, not to assume the act happened out of madness.
-
Undoubtedly, we have few viable suspects in this horrid affair, and even fewer motives. However, I'm inclined to believe Loki. He's crazy, there's no doubt about it, but to simply say he's a suspect because of that, no, I can't accept that. Yet.
I'd more likely believe you were one of the killers ChaoSera and seeking to throw Loki off the gallows to cover your tracks. I'll be keeping my eye on you.
-
I agree with TheEvilDog that ChaoSera is acting somewhat suspiciously... but Loki also makes a good point... I think I'm going to vote to unshape mtmerrick.
-
who else but a crazy man would do such a despicable thing as what was done to poor Gareth over there.
Well, uhm.
Anyone who heard him talk (http://forums.questionablecontent.net/index.php/topic,28865.msg1147392.html#msg1147392)? I mean, seriously.
(OOC: the fact that Loki is disparaging anyone for fucking a horse is DELIGHTFUL. Loki the god, I mean, not Loki the forumite.)
-
*rustle*
*ROLL*
A crumpled up note is on the ground in an alleyway. If someone read it, they might be able to make out (in the midst of paranoid and panicked scribble) that the writer is concerned about how quiet Game & Watch Forever has been today.
-
Perhaps G&W is just understandably nervous due to recent deadly events.
-
I agree with Loki. get rid of mtmerrick
-
What? You're all turning on me?
I'm innocent I tell ya!
*sees Nae's note and picks it up*
-
What? You're all turning on me?
Not all of us, just four of us so far.
-
Well it's a majority. :( and it makes me sad.
-
Four does not a majority make. In this game, it's half the number of survivors plus one. So, that'd be about 5 people.
-
A majority of those who've voted so far... :/
(hurry up Nae so I can read your note)
-
(Psst, Primo!
If someone read it, they might be able to make out (in the midst of paranoid and panicked scribble) that the writer is concerned about how quiet Game & Watch Forever has been today.
So you already know what's in the note. :p )
-
Wait.... So not Loki? :psyduck:
Oh god now I'm conflicted. :psyduck:
-
Loki, you were pretty quick to turn on mtmerrick. He hasn't really done anything suspicious, but I can't tell if you're actually just nutters or if you know more than you're letting on.
That note, though...
-
I don't trust Loki AT ALL, but I'm (reluctantly) retracting my lynch vote and directing it towards G&WF
And Nae DEFINITELY knows more than she lets on, but she doesn't seem to have any ill will towards anyone.
-
Well then!
Things have become quite dramatic since I passed out in the tavern!
I am not quite sure what to make of this, but I vote to lynch G&WF
He's been quiet too quiet
-
Loki, you were pretty quick to turn on mtmerrick. He hasn't really done anything suspicious[...]
Dude what? You might accuse me of many things, but this is probably the one with least substance.
a) He was the one who was quick to turn on me (http://forums.questionablecontent.net/index.php/topic,28865.msg1147606.html#msg1147606) and the first to throw accusations around after we found the corpse, without even discussing anything prior, or so much as stating a reason. I will, however, for his benefit assume, that my ... unorthodox believes were the reason implied. Speaking of which, anyone mind if I align the corpse northward? It makes for far better energy flow.
b) I was not the first to turn on mtmerrick. TheEvilDog was (http://forums.questionablecontent.net/index.php/topic,28865.msg1147609.html#msg1147609), which is a bit suspicious by itself, now that I think about it.
c) I debated with mtmerrick for quite a long time before dropping an accusation on him. (OOC: Okay, now that I look at it, it aren't that many posts, but it seemed more at the time.) And I will admit that my main reasons of suspecting him are his eagerness to lynch me, consisting both of quickness of decision and insistence once confronted. What TheEvilDog's reasons are, I do not know.
As a sane man, I might be willing to retract my vote for mtmerrick if I am presented with a more sensible alternative. However, I am not much in favor of lynching GWF in absentia without giving them the opportunity to explain themselves. So for the moment, my vote stays where it is.
-
Has anyone else noticed, that Loki hasn't actually denied the accusations made against him? He just dances around the topic. This is very suspicious, if you ask me.
-
Good catch!
-
*sigh* I subconsciously assumed that since you wouldn't believe me if I denied it, I needn't even bother. Fine.
I hereby deny all of the following:
* having killed Gareth
* being in any way being responsible for his death through other means
* having hostile intentions towards him in the past or present
* having knowledge of who killed him
Do you feel better now? If not, then why make me jump through hoops?
Now, answer me, mtmerrick and ChaoSera: Did you kill Gareth?
-
i have killed no one, nor were responsible for anyone's deaths. happy?
can we all decide not to lynch me now? :psyduck:
-
I did not do it either.
I'm inclined to believe you Loki but so far you are still the only viable suspect to me.

oh god oh god oh god whysitgottabemeoh god oh god oh god...
With a muted whine, another goshdarned tumbleweed (sure are a lot of them these days) tumbles across the main street, into an alley, around three corners, and disappears. Apparently it must have picked up some litterbug's leavings, since a (poorly) written note accusing J of being far too quiet and suspicious was left behind on the drag!
-
(OOC: This tumbleweed sure does like to accuse people.)
-
Damn tumbleweeds! *grabs tumbleweed and sets it on fire*
*tumbleweed continues tumbling and sets houses on fire*
I did not think that one through well enough...
-
*comes running out of the burning house*
OI! who's throwing burning tumbleweeds around?
[ooc: we've still got plenty of time left in this day, no reason to cut it short by tipping the votes one way or the other]
-
Forget the killer, we better watch out so cesium doesn't burn us all to death.
... also we might wanna do something about that burning building. Volunteers?
-
I'm on it. (Puts fire out somehow with minimal damage and no casualties as far as I can tell)
-
Tally so far:
mtmerrick: 4
Game and Watch Forever: 1
-
Aww, I'd've helped too :(
Mtmerrick:
I retract my vote for mtmerrick.
Err, Uni? mtmerrick cast his vote for me. I think.
-
He retracted it to vote for G&WF.
mtmerrick: 3
G&WF: 1
-
Oh. Huh. Now I feel even better for retracting my vote.
-
OH GOD OH GOD OH GOD WHYYYYYYY MEEEEE OW OW OW OW MY LIFE IS PAAAAAAAAIN
*sploosh!*
A bedraggled survivor tumbleweed just dived into the duck pond.
-
*duck pond catches on fire*
-
*watches as the ducks catch fire too and fly off, setting fire to everything in their way*
Damn it.
:psyduck:
-
(OOC: God damn it, TED, I had "*duck pond realizes it is mostly water and puts itself out*" and then I hit post and you'd already put that) *sigh* Shapers damn it, do I have to put out another fire? *puts out remaining fires, defeathers and cooks the ducks that aren't already burned*

we'll get to J later Ok?

yummy, duck stew...
-
But seriously could you all retract your votes for me? Eating duck soup under the gallows is incredibly unnerving.
-
A wet, singed, unhappy
woman with a duck on her head duck stomps over the post, ladles out some stew into a bowl, takes it, and stomps away.
"Quack you, Cesium!" ((vote))
-
I thought the ducks were all dead (and delicious). Of course the one I missed was the cannibal.
-
Hello Nae :psyduck:

:psyduck:
-
*duck pond catches on fire*
we really need to do something about the environmental standards in this town. this industrial runoff is just terrible.
-
*Fireproofs the whole town*
-
Oh method. :psyduck: You know better than to use this much asbestos. :psyduck:
-
This is a land of magic; nobody believes that silly science stuff that says asbestos is dangerous.
-
Right. I didn't use asbestos, I used...stuff that isn't dangerous and requires no magical ability to use.
-
*sniffs it*
This is lighter fluid method D: not fireproofing.
-
...hay?
-
If you find a way around my fireproofing then you're on your own.
-
Yay, town is fireproof! *uncorks champagne*
*spills champagne all over town*
Oh well. I still have this cake. Look, it has plenty of candles too!
-
Everyone here is homicidal :psyduck:
-
You don't have to be crazy to live here, but it certainly helps.
*releases a horde of ants into town*
-
Everyone here is homicidal :psyduck:
Really? Even the person who's risked his life repeatedly to put out fires that were carelessly set? :psyduck:
-
*the ants walk under a Window, conveniently placed to refract the sun, so when one of the lighter-fluid-covered ants walks under it out catches on fire*
*due to proximity to each other, all the ants catch each other in fire*
*the town is now being terrorized by flaming ants*
:psyduck:

Everyone here is homicidal :psyduck:
Really? Even the person who's risked his life repeatedly to put out fires that were carelessly set? :psyduck:
Well who knows, maybe you just did that to ensure you could murder us yourself instead of watching us burning to death. EVERYBODY IS SUSPICIOUS. Except me, of course.
-
Nonsense! I did it so the delicious ducks wouldn't go to waste!
-
*opens anew keg of whiskey* Welp, I always say that the best way to deal with tragedy and suspicion is to drink more!
-
OOC: Sorry folks... had a busy weekend and wound up sick on Monday. If I'm not mistaken, time limit on day 2 should be up but it's not actually night yet? If that's still the case by the time I get out of work, I guess I'll make myself useful.
-
TRVA, what kind of whiskey?
-
Why the fourth finest whiskey that *insert well known and respected whiskey making region in universe* has to offer!
-
Well why didn't you say so? (Pours himself a drink, neat of course)
-
Days are 48 hours or until half or more players decide on a lynching target.
-
Guys please don't lynch me :-(
-
also i seriously was off by two whole days :psyduck:
(neko gets the blame for this.)
The day was finally coming to a close, much to the relief of everyone - the sun had seemed to slow as it passed over, dragging the day out to nearly three times its normal length.
Well, almost everyone. The villagers had come together against the man they suspected the most, and despite his protestations, they dragged him to the middle of the town, hanging him from the main building, where the Shapers once ruled from. He begged up till his last breath, until the air was choked from him, leaving him kicking - struggling - and, finally, motionless.
A search of his body revealed nothing, though. What few belongings the refugee had showed him to be a wholly unremarkable person, just another casualty of the war ripping across the lands.
They had killed one of their own.
Night 2
(Send in your PMs!)

Well crap.
TURTLE MODE ACTIVATE!

*gulps with last breaths*
"i told you..... you'll... pay...... for....... th-......"
*dead*

well damn
-
It is with great pain that I learn of mtmerrick's death. Although he was new in our town and was only with us for such a short time, he apparently was most innocent and did not deserve to die.
The current state of affairs is rather troubling.
-
An irritated, bedraggled
woman cactus has apparently sprung up overnight, next to the exterior wall of an unburnt building. Also apparently someone has stacked crates and other junk around it as a barrier.
A lit cigarette hangs out of a small hole in its flesh.
-
((Supposed to read "in the night" instead of "overnight" my bad))
-
Has anybody else noticed how nights are kinda scary?
-
You can check out any time you like, but you won't ever leave.
-
quiet night
-
...holy night?
-
Poker night?
-
Good night! (Goes to sleep)

*a ghostly wind blows Nae's notes onto Loki's face *
-
How much does it cost to call the Ghostbusters in the middle of the night?
-
*runs out of burning buildings clutching what remains of his pants collection* You monsters! How could you! Not one of these are intact! At best I'll be able to make these into a collection of shorts, short shorts, and assless chaps for sale....
How much does it cost to call the Ghostbusters in the middle of the night?
I'm sure the local holy person will do just a fine a job... assuming that building over there that just collapsed wasn't our local place of worship....
-
Anyone who will dance in my bar wearing the assless chaps will get a free shot!
-
And this is proof that capitalism will pervail.
Can we harness the energy of Karl Marx spinning in his grave to build a supercomputer which will find the proper lynch targets for us?
*a ghostly wind blows Nae's notes onto Loki's face *
Ohlawks!! I cannot see! The future is gone! We will all die!!
-
It is the inherent nature of chaps to not have a butt covering . All the better to sting with!
-
Not that we need more hazards around here, what with flaming ducks and ants and tumbleweeds, and GaWF running around like a pants rogue.
-
What do you mean like a pants rogue?
-
Like the pants rogue you are.
-
My, time sure passes slowly. It completely messes up all of my attempts at prediction
-
If I die before the morning's light, I just want to say one thing about everyone, something that needs to be said.
You're all going to be the death of me.
-
Okay, for lack of having anything to do, I go and sit down in a bar. I put out a DM screen and some miniatures.
Everyone roll.
-
I roll a d20 and get an 13.
-
T is not a vowel.

*rolls a d20* 11
Anyway, I call Warrior/Fighter/Soldier/whatever the tank class might be.

((OOC: Yes, that was kinda what I was getting at :-D I think a better title for the comic would have been "Meta-Gaming", though.))
((IC:))
Your mission is to find the source of a mysterious killing spree that has befallen the city.
cesium133: Your future... doesn't look good.
ChaoSera: Okay, you get an elf rogue. You don't have to sleep, ever. But you probably wouldn't want to with killers on the loose, anyway.
TheEvilDog: In accordance with your wishes... you are a Shetland Pony. You are very sturdy and can protect your companions from tough blows with your body. You also have a very... cheerful nature.
Method of Madness: You are a tea kettle. Your role consists of as many vowels as consonants, making you a very balanced character, free to pursue whatever path you choose. You like to have parties with hares and hatters.
----
You start in a bar, sitting at a table with some other characters. On the table are a few miniatures and a cardboard standing upright, despite not being folded, defying gravity.
-
You are a tea kettle. Your role consists of as many vowels as consonants
 ...apparently, I cannot count. Well, then a whitespace is a vowel now.
Oh, and I believe this is obligatory: What do you do?
-
I try to sneak some of the figurines under my shirt. I'm a rogue afterall. Gotta steal stuff.
-
I am not quite sure how you expect this to help you with your quest, but okay.
While grabbing for the figurines, you briefly notice that the one that looks a bit like Gareth looks pretty damaged.
You successfully manage to captchalogue some of the figurines under your shirt. They are kinda poke-y.
-
I back-kick the table and neigh before going off to find some apples.
-
*attempts to pick up figurine and loses an arm*
-
You successfully manage to captchalogue some of the figurines under your shirt. They are kinda poke-y.
Homestuck references will always be met with my approval.
Sorry for the long night, as I was stuck in a bus station overnight. A post is to follow.
-
*attempts to pick up figurine and loses an arm*
Sounds like somebody needs a healer... too bad the party doesn't have one. Unless a tea kettle is capable of brewing something that regens arms. :-P
-
Sorry for the long night, as I was stuck in a bus station overnight. A post is to follow.
Ergh, right, sorry. I must admit, I had kinda forgotten about that *blushes*
-
The cactus' cigarette burns down, and fades into ashes. A light snoring might be heard from said cactus. Maybe.
-
The night seemed to be echoing the day, a nocturnal endlessness to match the slow drag of the sun. It is hard to say for sure, but perhaps that is why the night proved to be so very bloody in the end.
It certainly started out peaceful enough - despite the war and the suspicions people had leveled against one another, despite the innocent man they had hanged, there was some level of amiability to be found. Some had even joined together to play a game, though no one seemed to understand the rules very well. Still, the diversion was welcomed, even enjoyed, at least until a scream was heard from outside. There was a rush outside, but the struggle was over before anyone was there.
de_la_nae was laid out on the docks, staring blankly into the night sky, one arm laid out, the gentle waves of the sea lapping at her hand as it hung down. Her throat had been slit, and for apparent good measure she had been stabbed multiple times in the chest. Her robes and clothes were soaked in blood, running down to stain the wood of the docks and drip into the water.
Past the docks a boat was already out to sea, a figure wrapped in tight clothes steering away from the shore. "The Shapers will never suffer a rebel to live!" they called back to the assembled villagers, turning away from the city to steer away - it wasn't long before they were lost in the fog.
Stunned, the onlookers pressed forward to move the body, but before they could even reach her, an angry roar filled the air. The sound could only have come from a creation, and several people ran towards the noise, though the more sensible people hung back. The ones that raced to the scene found a battle taking place in the streets, TRVA123 standing tall and screaming orders at her creation, a towering Battle Gamma, skin glowing from within from the sheer power poured into it. It wasn't the only thing glowing, though - the human standing opposite the Shaper was glowing as well where her skin was revealed, in strips where her clothing had exposed her flesh, her eyes radiating with a cold, bright harshness.
The Gamma swung, and missed; the infiltrator was already running, though, charging at the monstrous creation and jumping on it, sinking her knives into the sides of its throat, even as it beat at her with fists solid as small boulders. It staggered and fell, and she rode it to the ground, raising her hand and blasting it in the face with conjured acid, directly into its eyes and roaring maw.
TRVA was already bringing forth another creation, some behemothic lizard, but her focus was interrupted as the infiltrator rose and charged the Shaper, leaving the creation behind her to claw at its own face in its final agonising moments. The half-formed creation was dispelled, and she shot a spell at the approaching assassin, a fireball that exploded through the night, bathing the scene in a burst of fiery light, hitting her square in the chest. She couldn't help but scream as it did, the fire burning through cloth and charring her flesh, her voice a roaring, inhuman tangle of pained fury and satisfaction - the satisfaction of a kill, the satisfaction that came as she leapt at the Shaper, taking her down and forcing a knife into her chest.
Silence.
The Shaper and her creation were dead, the only sound the heavy breathing of the infiltrator. The villagers that had gathered were silent, not speaking, not moving to intercept the killer of the leader of the Shapers in Porphyra. She looked up at them, her gaze hard, pupils glowing coldly from the essence that had reShaped her form, and in another moment she was on her feet and running.
Running.
And gone.
Dawn broke over the city.
Day 3
-
*The cactus begins to smolder, and slowly burn to ash*
((And I'm out))
-
So much death...
-
This... was eventful.
I think we can safely assume that our two attackers of the night are not the same person.
Person X attacked de_la_Nae with stabbing and found her to be a Rebel, which is interesting in itself, because that either requires some luck on their part, or they had a method to divine who she was. X self-identified as Shaper, but we don't know if that is true.
Person Y battled TRVA123, who turned out to be a Shaper. We don't know Y's motivations. We also don't know who attacked whom in the first place, although it looked a bit like Y attacked TRVA123 for sure and they defended.
Furthermore, we know the following:
Gareth's body was laid out in the street, badly mutilated. If there was a fight, he didn't put up much of one - his knife was unsheathed, his body covered in stab wounds and severe burns, flesh and armour burned away, melted from what could only be an acidic spell.
At least Acid-Person A, but possibly also Stabby-Person B, attacked Gareth. It is also worth noting that we have seen Y use both daggers and acid, which may indicate they are Acid-Person A AND Stabby-Person B. In fact, I am gonna take this as my working hypothesis, because it's more likely than assuming that A and B attacked Gareth independently.
If Y=B, then Person X (the one stabbing The Cactus) is a new attacker, but only under the assumption that X did not teleport from their boat to the middle of the city to engage TRVA.
So for now, I am gonna assume the following:
- Stabcidic Person Y killed both Gareth and TRVA123
- We don't know the motives of Stabcidic Person Y
- Stabcidic Person Y acted on the first night
- Person X killed de_la_Nae
- Person X is either a Shaper or just wanted to make us think they are a Shaper
- Person X did not use Shaping to kill de_la_Nae
- Person X is either employed by the Shapers or not member of the Shaper faction at all or they are a Shaper who prefers traditional weapons
- Person X did not act on the first night
I shall also notice that noone playing my game died (not even cesium133, which was surprising to me), which means I am a beacon of luck and radiate positive energy all over the place, so everyone join my game!
Speaking of which, I roll Knowledge (Lore) to find out if Acidic Spray is a spell of the Shapers.
-
I went back and checked who got innocent mtmerrick killed. Apparently, it were:
* TheEvilDog
* cesium133
* TRVA123 (deceased)
TheEvilDog was really quick to accuse mtmerrick (which, incidentally, protected me, but that doesn't make me trust him any more.
So seeing as I have nothing else to go on:
TheEvilDog, answer for yourself.
-
I would also like to point out that cesium kinda tried to burn down the village.
-
I fail to see how this is relevant
-
Well maybe he got tired of killing people one by one so he tried to kill everybody at once. Or at least make them homeless. I dunno. :psyduck:
-
I would also like to point out that cesium kinda tried to burn down the village.
Hey, I'm an alkali metal, that's what I do!
-
Loki, I trust you as much as I trust your namesake. Which is to say, not much. You've been trying to distract the village away from what's going on, as a trickster would do, no less. Probably to throw us off from realising you're a murderer.
Loki, I accuse you!
-
Loki, I trust you as much as I trust your namesake.
*raises eyebrow* You should be the last one speaking of ill-meaning names.
-
Oh, and also: your pony character in the game we were playing just got infected with a bad case of "DM fiat". That's what you get for not idly standing by while I try to get you lynched. :x
It is a mysterious disease which attracts rocks to fall on you and your party.
-
I would also like to point out that cesium kinda tried to burn down the village.
Hey, I'm an alkali metal, that's what I do!
Then why aren't you exploding right now?

My pony character runs up and bites the DM's head.
You just got pwned by a pony. You got powned! (I have no idea what portmanteau that would be)

pwnied?
-
my little pwny?

so what you're saying is that we have two killers on our hands here.
that's a lot of text to say very little.
-
Not precisely. I am trying to figure out how many factions are in the fight, their targets, and the mechanics which trigger a battle.
-
Why would I be serving Shapers? Their goals are not mine and vice-versa.
I went back and checked who got innocent mtmerrick killed.
I quote these because I think there's a little clashing between the statements. The first reads as though Loki is likely a rebel. But (I think) mtmerrick was a villager for the pro-shaper faction, since the shapers watched over the refugees. So it's a little weird that a rebel would think someone on the other side was innocent. This could probably be spun several different ways, so I will simply ask Loki to elaborate what he meant exactly in these statements for the sake of knowing where to go from there.
-
First of all, thank you for not jumping to conclusions, but asking for my input instead.
As I have stated before, my goal is to create an arrangement of the universe most conductive to my needs. My goals do not lie with the Shapers, nor against them, they are rather... orthogonal, if the term may be applicable. Thus, if a Shaper and I were to meet, we would probably have little to say to each other.
I am, however, not sure how you expect me to make a convincing argument here. If I state to side with any Shapers, I will surely receive an unpleasant visit from the rebels the night. If I state to side with any rebels, my visitors would probably be of the sort like the creations we have seen TRVA conjure, and I have a bad feeling about that. If I state to be a factionless villager, you might assume that I am only saying this to escape a trial swayed by whatever faction.
I regard mtmerrick to be a casualty of war, a man who came from nowhere, was thrown into a society which was apparently most alien to him, and then was lynched for crimes he did not commit. As such, his death pains me, as it did not bring any of the sides justice, nor knowledge, and I bore no ill will against him.
-
I regard mtmerrick to be a casualty of war, a man who came from nowhere, was thrown into a society which was apparently most alien to him, and then was lynched for crimes he did not commit.
this is fully correct. I never had any faction.
-
OOC: Dude, there's a sign-up thread where you can talk about the game. You died in this thread, remember.

I just wanted you to clarify your intentions behind each statement. It wouldn't do me any good if you did state one way or the other, since my reaction to any revelations could cause me unwanted attention as well. I don't have any real issues with your answers either, since it was the only thing that makes sense other than you being a liar... which I suppose is still possible, but I have no reason to think so.
Though I do feel like you may be a little hasty in your vote... especially after so much effort in analyzing the the killers' MOs and victims. I'll have to review the past couple days just to see if I agree at all.
-
I'm suspicious of J, honestly. For now, I kind of believe that Loki is innocent, and I definitely wouldn't want to kill someone for trying to outline their thought process - if anything, that's what we all should be doing.
So I'll be back. I'm not really sold on anyone yet, but we still have time to talk about it.
-
personally, i'm suspicious of people who spread suspicion
-
I thought that's what you were trying to do with your last comment to Loki, but re-reading, I could have been reading too much into it? Like "that's a lot of text to say very little. *ominous eyebrow raise*."

i was trying to see if loki was getting at anything more substantive than 'there were two killers'.

Votes so far:

Loki: 1
The day ends in four hours.

If you were, for example, willing to act on those believes, I will not stand in your way.
In fact, I soon might be in no position to stand at all.
I can only repeat my reasons for wanting to lynch TheEvilDog. He cast his vote too fast for my taste. I hope that the Grand Jury can agree with my point of view, or otherwise look into themselves and follow their hearts in the search for truth.
I solemnly swear that I was not responsible for anyone's death. Nor do I steal apples from unsuspecting merchants. Not accusing anyone or anything, just saying that I do not do such things. Anyone who would do that would probably deserve to be hanged, but that's just my opinion.
-
Eh, Loki seems to be pretty intent on killing TheEvilDog, and I haven't seen any evidence that TheEvilDog is actually involved in killing anyone... so I'm going to vote to lynch Loki.
-
Ok, we're running out of time, and there are only two votes. Ugh. I don't really think it's Loki or TheEvilDog - then again, I've been completely wrong about people in the past.
Since I still have some time, I'm holding off for a minute and re-reading the thread.
-
Ok, de_la_Nae was a rebel and voted for cesium133 yesterday, which means he's likely not a bad guy *trying* to steer us wrong, which is not something I can say with any certainty about Loki.
So instead of leaving it up to chance, I'm going with cesium.
vote to kill Loki
-
(and now I just realized that Unicorn's post was before cesium's, so my vote doesn't really make a difference. This is what I get for not reading the thread in order :-P)
-
The day ends in one hour. If you want to change your vote, there's still time.
-
Night had fallen, and the villagers had turned against the local artist. She spoke calmly, rationally, but the villagers moved against her anyhow. She struggled, yelling, but seemingly unwilling to lay a hand against the villagers as they moved against her. She was taken to the town's centre and hung from the roof of the Shaping Hall, her life easily taken from her - and when the body was taken down, a search of her body revealed her journal.
She had been a traveler in eastern Terrestria, a Sorceress of not insignificant power. She had always had a distaste for Shaping, however, limiting her magics to avoid the Shaper Arts, and when the war came and the rebels brought forth twisted Shaping powers of their own, her politics had solidified into action. She became a Trakovite, following the footsteps of a man named Trakov who had, as the story was told, sacrificed himself to destroy a twisted Shaper creation that would have destroyed the world. She used her powers to destroy Shapers and rebels alike, targeting only those who had harnessed the power of Shaping.
According to her journal, she had been innocent of any deaths in Porphyra, however - instead, her notes were detailed musings on who the killers could possibly be, one conclusion that had finalised in the name cesium133.
Night 3
Send in your PMs!

The sound of battle in the night was becoming familiar to the refugees, but no less worrisome each time.
Game and Watch Forever was on patrol that night, their creation a cyclopean monster, a new creation that the Shapers have sanctioned to be created against the rebel menace: the war trall (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v697/Shogo5000/Geneforge%204/WarTrall_zps8966b664.jpg).
However, the rebels' power easily matched that of the Shapers', and tonight, their power would clash - a low roar, more heard than felt, echoed through the streets, a lumbering kyshakk (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v697/Shogo5000/Geneforge%204/Kyshakk_zps4763222b.jpg) heading right for them, already taking in a deep breath, its reptilian frame expanding, expanding, and then collapsing as it exhaled heavily.
Lightning shot from its mouth. It was fast, as fast as you'd expect it to be, and in an instant it had hit the trall, surrounding it with a field of electricity. It roared, already having turned to face the gargantuan lizard, and within seconds it had launched a rock easily two feet wide at the beast. It hit with a sickening crunch, the kyshakk letting out a long, low moan of pain before charging towards them. Game and Watch Forever was already starting to make a new creation, but was interrupted by a spell, a fireball that narrowly missed him. His head looked to the source, the infiltrator back already despite the injuries she had faced the previous night, and he pulled his sword out and charged her.
Metal on metal - she had drawn her own sword, matching his attack, blocking it. Teeth on flesh - the roar of indistinct pain, a fist easily bigger than any human head sinking furiously into the side of the lizard, and again, Shaper versus Shaper, creation versus creation. The Infiltrator raised her hand, blasting at the Guardian with a spell, acid spraying out and etching into his armour but leaving him unarmed, and he took his chance to lash out with his closed fist, nailing her in the stomach, forcing her backwards, making her lose her grip, her guard dropped.
Game and Watch raised his sword, ready to bring it down and end the traitor's life - but in doing so, he left his own guard open, and she saw her chance. Her knife was dropped into her palm, and she lunged forward, throwing herself against him and slamming the knife up under his jaw, coating herself in her own conjured acid in the process. The Guardian stumbled, and fell, and it was a simple matter to remove the knife and plunge it into his throat, ending the confusion of the last moments of his life.
She looked up, at the creations battling in the street, as they stumbled and crashed into building, as they struggled and cried out in pain and anger. She left them behind as she fled the scene once more, leaving the creation in her care to be slowly beaten to death by the nearly twenty foot tall trall, the trall that would slowly be electrocuted to death after its opponent was slain.
The aftermath of a battle was always met with silence here, and the wonderments of who might be next.
They didn't have far too look.
-
The villagers came together, and they realised that two people were missing - one who could be chalked up to the Infiltrator that had just fled, and the other...
...well, they found him, in the end. dr. nervioso was found seated in his room on the second floor of the inn and looking out the window over the carnage below, a spilled drink in his hand, and a single thorn in the back of his head. The thorn baton used to do it had been laid neatly across the bed.
His journal lay open to the last page on the table. He had been working with the Trakovites, but having seen his allies slain before him, the will to fight had gone out of him. He merely wished for the war to end, and when it came time for his departure, he did not struggle. He wrote his goodbyes, named the Agent who was standing over him, waiting for him to finish his last writings, and made himself comfortable while waiting for the exact moment he would be removed from this world.
Some people said the expression he wore in his final breath was pained; others looked and saw only relief.
The name of the perpetrator had been carefully removed from the journal with a knife, leaving the words around it intact. They wanted the world to know his story, and, perhaps, how all traitors would be treated when found.
Day 4
-
Well, I'm pretty sure I'm boned at this point, so here goes. I killed de_la_Nae because she was a Rebel. I am one of the last surviving Shapers. By saying this I'm probably turning any anti-Shaper people against me, but they probably knew who I was already. What I ask is that any remaining pro-Shaper people (if there are any left) join with me to fight the remaining Rebels.
-
So the Shaper gladly admits to a cold-blooded murder. This is why we fight against the Shaper menace. That's right, I'll come right out and say it. I'm a rebel, and I'm proud of it. The Shapers have too much power and they keep it all to themselves. Who will fight with me to take back our village? I'll start by seeking justice for my fallen comrade.
Lynch cesium133.
-
I'm still not quite convinced that Cesium133 is the Shaper, but with such a confession, I say we throw a bucket of water on Cesium133 and watch the fireworks.
-
I'm afraid dear cesium, that jackbooted shapers are going to find no allies here.
-
I'm still not quite convinced that Cesium133 is the Shaper, but with such a confession, I say we throw a bucket of water on Cesium133 and watch the fireworks.
I happen to know from certain sources that you're pro-Shaper... you do realize that by voting to kill me, you're helping to eliminate the last hope the pro-Shaper side has, and effectively guaranteeing your death at the hands of J and Method of Madness?
-
Before you die, would you like to confess to murdering the good doctor as well?
-
Right after you confess to the murders of TRVA123 and Game and Watch Forever.
-
I haven't killed anyone my dear Cessium.
I just gave the orders.
-
Also, I wouldn't trust everything your sources tell you...I can be quite persuasive.
-
Holy shit, everyone.
If I'm understanding all of this correctly, this is what I'm trying to piece together:
Method of Madness has admitted to being a Rebel.
cesium133 has the power to kill at night, claims to be on the side of the Shapers, and has knowledge that TheEvilDog is not a Rebel (despite the fact that the former voted for the latter) Can he kill and investigate at night?
cesium133 admits to killing de_la_Nae, but not dr. nervioso, and the Rebel kill was GaWF, so is there a third killer?
I almost don't even give a shit what side you're on, I'm just sick of having so many murderers in the village.
-
Hey, don't forget me!
-
DON'T DON'T DON'T DON'T
you. forget about me.
*nods to J, then flicks a knife from her sleeve all Taxi-Driver style, and grins at cesium133*
"What the hell, yeah?"
kill cesium133
-
YOU FUCKERS WON'T TAKE ME ALIVE!
*jumps into the lake, sets it on fire again*
cesium133 is goin' swimmin'!
-
The crowd gathered around to watch cesium drown, grateful that, for once, no blood would have to be shed. He had taken his own life in a fit of anger, leaving the rebellion alone, save for one person.
ChaoSera.
J approached her, pulling his hood back, finally exposing himself - even in the sunlight, he glowed with an inner light, his eyes cold, redolent of all the signs of a heavily-Shaped human being. "You had your chance to join us, yet you refused," he told her, looking down at her as if she weren't even human, his power apparent before the unmodified villager. "Now go. This city belongs to the rebellion, and we have no place for you here."
She didn't have to be told twice.
Rebels Win!
-
See! We are compassionate! We let ChaoSera leave!
(also, Unicorn, I couldn't say this before without giving myself away, but your descriptions of battles were EPIC and I kept wanting to gloat each time I won).
-
You've done well troops, and made your old general proud. *salutes*
-
A completely innocent tumbleweed rolls down the street.
-
A random vengeful DM-god burns the tumbleweed.
-
Yay, we won!
And yay, that tumbleweed burned!
