I can't find a (recent) fanfic thread anywhere, so I thought I'd start one. I don't usually read it, having come across too much truly terrible spacewizardry, but occasionally I have been known to enjoy it. My original intention in starting this thread was to provide a place for forumites to recommend some of their favourites but TBH those on the other side of the coin are probably just as fascinating in their own way.

It should be obvious from my signature that I am a fan of Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality (http://hpmor.com).
Every inch of wall space is covered by a bookcase. Each bookcase has six shelves, going almost to the ceiling. Some bookshelves are stacked to the brim with hardback books: science, maths, history, and everything else. Other shelves have two layers of paperback science fiction, with the back layer of books propped up on old tissue boxes or lengths of wood, so that you can see the back layer of books above the books in front. And it still isn't enough. Books are overflowing onto the tables and the sofas and making little heaps under the windows.
This is the living-room of the house occupied by the eminent Professor Michael Verres-Evans, and his wife, Mrs. Petunia Evans-Verres, and their adopted son, Harry James Potter-Evans-Verres.
There is a letter lying on the living-room table, and an unstamped envelope of yellowish parchment, addressed to Mr. H. Potter in emerald-green ink.

Here is a new fanfic (currently in the writing) Reticence (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/9382989/1/Reticence) which continues directly from the end of the film Evangelion 3.33, You can (not) redo. So far it's been not bad as these things go. It'll mean nothing to you until you've watched the film, though.

I've been writing a lot of "fanfic" for some recent KS projects, but some of it is being considered for canon backstories for units... so I suppose it might not be fanfic any more...

Not necessarily. There are some writers out there that have written FanFic that has stuck close to Cannon while adding elements/characters/situations from their own imagination.
Rare, I know, but it does happen.

There isn't much of a story really. A couple of the text boxes are shopped, I think, but most of it is possible in-game.
