Give mooncakes to family and friends, eat mooncakes, visit family, display paper lanterns. Spam plays no part...

Yum!

A mooncake is not a cake in the Western sense. It is a pastry case filled with a sweet paste, usually made from red beans or lotus seeds. The paste is made with lots of sugar and oil, so it is very calorific.

I think this here (http://solstafirtpr.deviantart.com/art/Hati-ok-Skoll-304942100) is the source. It's Sköll and Hati chasing the sun and the moon, and they catch them at Ragnarök (more (http://religion.wikia.com/wiki/Sköll)).
