I posted a few times many years ago, but I thought I'd formally introduce myself and say hey.
A friend recommended QC to me about five years back, and I've been a daily reader since, plus at least a few archive read throughs. Generally, I find nearly all the changes to be positive, from art to characters to the writing. Reading some of the early strips is rough, because I find Marten's crush on Faye so bewildering. Of course, I have to remember that I've had my irrational crushes that go on way too long. Still, the early strips did more telling us directly that Faye is a super cool indie queen, while the later strips do more to show her humor and good personality. Obviously some of that is her own character growth, but in general I think Jeph is getting way better at showing why two people like each other.
Anyway, I always have to remind myself that the QC cast will forever be in their mid-twenties, as I hurtle onward towards middle age. Still, one of the better depictions of that time I've read.
