Lately I've been playing OpenTTD (http://openttd.org), an open-source clone of Transport Tycoon Deluxe, a game in which you build a transportation system to haul passengers and cargo around towns spread across a map. I should warn anyone who hasn't played it that it's a rather large time sink. Does anyone else on the forum play it?

I used to, but I never really got the hang of it.
It also gets boring because there isn't really an AI that contends you.
-
I haven't actually tried playing against the AI. I just like building things.

I'm just still learning the TTD.
what bugs me is that Coal mines disappear, but the power station they were feeding does not.
and fuckign city governments that won't let me build XYZ!

Yeah, my major annoyance is that the oil refineries disappear very often. Also, a trick to deal with the city governments is to plant a lot of trees. They really like that.
