I'm a bit new to this whole webcomic scene but I've gotten into a few...
Diesel Sweeties, QC (duh), Goats, Butternut Squash, Absurb Notions
How 'bout you?
-
I read Penny Arcade and QC. Sometimes I'll read Order of the Stick, Count Your Sheep and maybe a little PVP.
I also read print comics...my current faves are New X Men: Academy X, Astonishing X Men, Swamp Thing, Hellblazer, Adam Strange, Books of Magic: Life During Wartime, and Grant Morrison's WE3 mini-series.
-
Niego, QC, Scary Go Round, AMD/whatever, Wigu, Achewood, Diesel Sweeties, Lost & Found Investigations. Um. There's a few more I check out on occasion... not a regular reader though.
-
Dinosaur Comics
Beaver and Steve
Mike Donovan
-
explodingdog
white ninja
qc
diesel sweeties
penny arcade
able & baker
mac hall
boy on a stick and slither
(RIP mallmonkeys, elftor, and nn2s)
-
QC, SGR, Dinosaur Comics, IC, Sam and Fuzzy, white ninja, Wigu (on noes!), Okay Pants, goats, Shaw Island, Niego, ALILBTDII, Overcompensating, A Softer World, Patches, Beaver and Steve, Diesel Sweeties, Perry Bible Fellowship.
-

Wait a second elftor isn't dead it just hasn't been updated in a while!
-
I read Queen of Wands, Sam and Fuzzy, Wigu, Striptease, and Scary go Round.
-
Wigu (+ overcompensating)
boy on a stick and slither
ctrl-alt-del
ryanpeq.com
white ninja
and QC of course.
That's about it.
-
shadowfolk
applegeeks
megatokyo
scary go round
queen of wands
ctrl+alt+del
and about 50 more...
-
Sam and Fuzzy, Wigu, Theater Hopper, Butternutsquash, Diesel Sweeties and Scary-go-round are some of the few i read from a very long list.
-
My favorites evar:
Wigu, Scary Go Round, Goats, QC
other neat ones are Least I Could Do and Squidi (A Modest Destiny). Usually I think sprite comics are pretty lame, but squidi's sprites are original (aka not taken from video games) and pretty funny mostly. Least I Could Do is just SO heavily based on sex that I can't help but read it so often.
Perry Bible Fellowship rules a LOT, too.
-
Instant Classic, Fallen, Questionable Content, VG Cats, Real Life Comics, Penny-Arcade, Theater Hopper, Control Alt Delete, When I Grow Up(Wigu), Count Your Sheep, Sam & Fuzzy, Loserz, Elf Only Inn, and recently, Make With The Funny Or Die Trying.

-
Q.C.
Order of the Stick
Loserz
Chopping Block
Punks and Nerds
Orneryboy
A Softer World
Mac Hall
Monkey Business
Not sure if they all count as webcomics, but... oh well. I like them all. =)
Q.C. is the best, though.
-
100 bullets
how is 100 bullets? and how would you...vaguely sumerize it?
online comics (sorry i'm far to lazy to link) i generaly read most often:
QC
penny-arcade
wigu
overcompensating
something positive
scary go round
diesel sweeties
joe and monkey (holy shit mitch clem is going to be in the drivers seat for awhile)
achewood
bunny
there is more but i kind of check them infrequently due to different factors. like crazy unpredictable updating or (very likely) i just forget as there are alot of comics that are worth reading (megatokyo, return to sender, useless superheros, scary bear, a lesson is learned but the damage is done, dinosaur comics, machall)
OMGWTF, though i think he abandoned this paticular strip as he hit a block, the artist got published in sort of up and comming anime complation.
paper comics that i like and don't matter how frequently i read: x-men and a bunch of it's weird spinoffs, DC's Crissis of Infinite Earths, anything by jhonen vasquez (as he hasn't put anything out in print in years it seems like), flight, the battle royale series, the flight antholgies, sandman (argh all i have is preludes and nocturnes vol 1 and when i look for others there is always usually just further along volumes or when i do see vol 2 i'm poor). sin city, calvin and hobes, get your war on. i'm almost exclusively read trade paper back. i have some different starwars darkhorse series and some of the deadpool cable series but i really like to have all of the story at hand so i can read at my leisure.
also i have a punisher/wolverine comic but just the first volume. i'm really annoyed as it seems like a decent enough story from just the first. also i found the wolverine single comic #100 where he incredibly feral.
i've heard about a marvel special...mini series or what have you...where the universe just ends that i want to find. hulk is the last living thing and i've seen this amazing panel from it...
-
whenever I read this type of thread it always prompts me to check the comics I only occasionally check :P
-
QC
Penny Arcade
Urban Myth
Ctrl+Alt+Del
Theater Hopper
Diesel Sweeties
Wulffmorgenthaler
Sam and Fuzzy
-
QC is my only webcomic so far.
Not many print either, but I get Eightball when I can, formerly Transmetropolitan *sob* and Gloom Cookie, but not so much anymore.
Oh and anything Jeffery Brown (http://www.margomitchell.com/thc/jb.htm) does.
-
(RIP mallmonkeys, elftor, and nn2s)
Wait a second elftor isn't dead it just hasn't been updated in a while!
"in a while"?
"IN A WHILE"?!?!?!?!?!
seriously.
that comic is fucking dead.
1 comic uploaded in october.
3 in july.
1 in june.
yeah.
i say it's dead.
-
Well I say it isn't finished until the rather obese female uses her vocal cords to project sound!
-
I concur, so long as the sound is projected in a melodic manner!
-
QC
Butternut Squash (http://www.butternutsquash.net)
Bendependant (http://www.bendependent.com)
A Softer World (http://www.asofterworld.com)
Sharing Bears (http://www.andrewhoffmann.com)
-
QC
Theater Hopper
Hugh & Bot
Joe & Monkey
I occasionally read The Order of the Stick and I used to read JDizzle until the new guy took over the art and it got kinda sucky.
Also I used to read Movie Punks and nn2s when they were around...they are sadly missed.
-
Well, there's the ones I read that need no mentioning, since they'll be the cat's pajamas no matter what I write about them.
Then there's the ones that... no matter how popular they get, still deserve mention, such as Scary-go-Round. I just don't think John Allison can ever screw up. XD
I also read Checkerboard Nightmare, QC of course, and Sinfest on occasion.
Oh, and then there's Homestar Runner. Not a webcomic, but always worth mentioning. It would probably find it's way on my list somehow even if the topic was "What's your favorite brand of underwear" or something. XD
-
Little Gamers, Penny Arcade, Diesel Sweeties, MacHall, Scary Go Round, Ornery Boy and now QC. Paper-wise, like asterix, calvin and hobbes, and a comic called mint sauce about a mountain biking sheep, but it was in Mountain Biking UK magazine, i stopped riding my bike so much and ended up buying a four quid magazine for a one page cartoon, it's still one of my favorite cartoons.
I used to read megatokyo, sinfest, ozy and millie, schlock mercenary, nuklear power regularly but stopped using the net regularly and never got back into them. For a while i read mondo mecho, devstyle, red meat and homestar runner but never kept up with the story, which is a shame as theyre all good.
-
I don't read any print ones and QC is the only internet one I read. for the most part I gave up comics at age 14.
-
QC
White Ninja
Sam and Fuzzy
On paper:
Astonishing X-Men(currently)
Anything by Art Speigleman. Anything, and I mean anything, by Evan Dorkin.
-
ughagh...didn't dorkin do milk and cheese?
-
no, i wont type 60 names (and links) of webcomics..... ;)
-
I read Sluggy, PA, and QC on a regular basis.
I catch up on Dinosaur Comics, Partially Clips, Sexy Losers, PBF, A Softer World, and Spamusement once a month.
-
QC is my only webcomic so far.
formerly Transmetropolitan *sob*.
Word. Transmet is one of the greatest comics ever concieved, especially if you even pretend to be a journalist. There's a cartoon of it too, just a very brief one. http://www.noodlesoup.net/content/transmet.html It was gonna be a preview for a cartoon show.
I read Qc, SGR, Diesel Sweeties, RPGworld, Something Postitive, Sam and Fuzzy, Dinosaur Comics, Theater Hopper, Penny Arcade, PvP, Ornery Boy, Real Life Comics, White Ninja and Niego online.
In the funnies, the only ones I really need to rep are the boondocks and Calvin and Hobbes. And maybe Brewster Rocket, Space guy.
As for comic book comics, there's too many to mention. But I want to rep Y: The Last Man especially hard. It's brilliant writing, incredibly funny, and has beautiful art.
-
just VG Cats and this one.
-
ughagh...didn't dorkin do milk and cheese?
Yeah.
:( What's the "ughagh" for? I love M&C.
-
that's the sound of my head meats turnin, i likes milk and cheese.
-
that's the sound of my head meats turnin, i likes milk and cheese.
:)
Good. Vegans love milk and cheese too....oh wait.
-
Cat, Droop, Beaver & Steve, Jesus and the Man, Fragile Gravity, Pig Related, Filth & Decay, just found QC and read through the archives, Bigger than Cheeses now and then, and I used to read Lead Salad until i lost interest due to slow plot development and lack of coherency.
-
I've sampled all kinds of sites, but the ones I've stuck by:
QC (which is now my homepage, btw)
Diesel sweeties
Goats
Errant Story
Penny-Arcade
ctrl-alt-del
Nekobox (dunno why, really...)
Megatokyo. The storyline's a little crap at the moment, but I like Fred Gallagher's style of drawing. I just hope he picks up with the narrative.
The ones I drop in on from time to time:
Striptease
Okay Pants
Fat Jesus
Turn Signals on a Land Raider
Dinosaur Comics
The ones I used to visit, but which appear to have stopped
Men In Hats
Exploitation Now
Misfire!

I'm needing some help on a certain comic here.
I had my list of comics saved on my Firefox Bookmarks but then my computer memory messed up and I had to clear the hard drive and now I cant find this comic.
Its called something like " A Lesson Learned". Ive searched google and so on but with no luck.
A little help?
-

-
I really only read QC, as well as the odd episode of CAD.
As for printed comics I'm a sucker for Nemi and Calvin & Hobbes.
-
I was a big fan of Loserz... (especially the mini-story with Max & Cecil, a "Calvin & Hobbes" inspired comic)
I like CAD and The Order of the Stick too.
-
CAD and QC. I started with CAD - forgot how I got to that - but that kinda led me here. So now I read them both, and that is it. I read some stuff by l0cke and other lesser-known artists, but mostly for the artwork.
-

-
Wapsi Square (recently, it's been damn confusing, though...)
I agree! I still read it because i want to know what happens... but I miss when it was funny.
-
A bit, but it is also getting interesting. Hurray for plot! Hurray for story! I'm sure he hasn't forgotten how to write the funny, he's just expanding the story. I'm happy about it, he's just been hinting at things for the past few months, it is good to actually see more.

Erm making a list is too difficult, but here:
http://www.poli-tekno.com/extras.php
It's listed under other comics, utilizing all of their 88x31 buttons of awesomeness.
-
Meh... I read about 70-80 different webcomics.
-
I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Sluggy Freelance (http://sluggy.com/index.php)! It's one of the most popular webcomics out there (maybe even the most popular; definitely in the top 3). It's definitely my favourite (sorry Jeph). Not to mention the thing runs 7 days a week and has done so since August of 1997! Not too shabby... ;)
By the way, if you want to start reading Sluggy, you should definitely start from the beginning. Pete makes references to his older strips often.
-
Shadowfolk (http://www.kiolia.com/shadowfolk/)
-
I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Sluggy Freelance (http://sluggy.com/index.php)!
Maybe because no-one wants to :D. Nah, I can say I never got into that one for some reason.
-
**web comics:
scary go round (a favorite as it's drawn in illustrator, my present strength. hot Lazarene red-heads are cool also :) )
diesel sweeties

**bound comics, on-going:

**bound comic influences:
western classics (watchmen, sin city, preacher, steampunk, powers, battle chasers, batman[drk kngt rtns, yr 1], rising stars, hellboy, sandman, planetary, war's dirty pair, plus too many more)
eastern masters (appleseed, gits, dominion, gunsmith cats, love hina, patlabor [the manga], taiho shichau zo!)
gonna stop talking here. :)
-
I read Nothing Nice to Say, The Coffee Achievers, Overcompensating, Questionable Content, and Rob and Elliot comics regularly.
I'll sometimes read the occasional Wigu, Diesel Sweeties, Something Positive, and Penny Arcade.
As far as non-web comics, The Far Side and Calvin and Hobbes are my favorites.
-
comics i read (http://www.lucastds.com/personal/webcomic/webcomic_about.htm)

There's a cartoon of it too, just a very brief one.
Funky!

I was a big fan of Loserz...
Losersz, sigh. And it ended on such a cliffhanger! I can understand him for being too busy, though. I should really give up the internet for the same reason.
-
I check a few webcomics on a daily basis, and I link to them on my music website. Questionable Content has become my favorite of the bunch, which is why I joined the forums today.

Dang I gotta start reading Megatokyo again, I forgot just how much I identified with that comic... gonna have to make time for it again now. I used to read a TON of webcomics (I had "the list" going too), but now i've cut down to a select few for time considerations. Mostly popular ones, and even a lot of the more obscure comics i've read have been mentioned, so i'll only drop two names...
Polymer City Chronicles (http://www.polymercitychronicles.com/) (PCC) - I'm in love with this guys artwork. Even the early stuff is great. And its got a whole insanely convoluted story behind the whole thing, involving everything from aliens to the undead that I find interesting. I don't think its possible to sum things up in a neat little paragraph, you'll have to read the whole 6 year archive yourself (not all of it is story though). I guess some people might be put off by some of the *ahem* art, but I find the buff-chix and beachball sized boobs thing kinda funny. Its a slow updater (two a week if you're lucky), but its a fun little comic with plenty of story/drama/humour/mystery/sex/scifi/etc.
The other is...
Kidd Radd (http://home.att.net/~miller.daniel.r/) - Unfortunatly its over and done with, the artist had a story mapped out and finished it some two years ago. But I really enjoyed the whole thing while it lasted (600 strips). Its a sprite comic (sorta like 8-Bit), but its animated (oooh!). Basically it involves 'Kidd Radd' (the hero) and his journey though a sort of sprite-universe with a whole bunch of other characters (including his "girlfriend", Sheena), and some narration too. It shouldn't take too long to rip through the whole thing, and I highly reccomend it. Its a great little piece of existential what-if kinda introspective, from the viewpoint of, well, a video-game character (you'll have to get a few strips in before it really "starts"... it sorta breaks the 4th wall, sorta doesn't... just check it out :P). With plenty of humour, of course. Again, I really reccomend reading it if you have time.
Infact, I think im going to go re-read some of it now. *Zips off*
-
I read a lot of the comics that were listed before; the only one I didn't see among them that I read is Combustible Orange. The language is vulgar, but the art is sharp as hell.
(Was kinda hoping to see my comic on somebody's list, oh well...)
-
Walking Dead
Oh man, so good!
I'm also getting into Fables at the moment. I like it lots.

Angels2200 - got tired of it
Anime Arcadia - not funny anymore

The Gods of Arr-Kelaan - I don't have the patience to wait for DrunkDuck
Stuff Sucks - not funny anymore
Star Cross'd Destiny - updates...?

I read alot, It started with QC but spread like... a STD? A good STD!
But my most recent finds that I enjoy are:
Masters of the Art
Cultural Void
Strip Tease
and ... um
alot of them.. Like seriously I search for new ones all the time, and then I forget about them, and the I find them again with an archive full of goodness to explore.
-
I read QC regularly. Sometimes I catch an occasional white ninja or dinosaur comic.
I'm not usually big on webcomics, but I am big on print comics. I read mostly Marvel such as Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man and Astonishing X-Men, Captain America, Daredevil, etc.
DC is definitely growing on me though.
-
QC, Applegeeks, Misfile, Building 12, Better Days, Slightly Dammed, Sorcery 101, and Point of Futility.
There's also The Fathead, but it never updates. I used to read Angel Moxie but it finnished, and I got bored of Chugworth Academy. Oh, and I guess I pop in at LICD(least I could do) sometimes.
