Title: MSI P7NSLI Platinum does not post no beeps
Post by: hma on 23 Oct 2014, 05:35
I started my PC but it does not POST. It was running since 6 years. No overclocking done. No beeps with everything in place.
But I just tried this I removed the RAM & I get long beeps.
Then insterted the RAM's back no beep.
Then I removed Graphic card XFX 8600GT but i did not get any beeps.
It is a SLI motherboard with only one Graphic card and no integrated graphics Am I not supposed to get the beep without the graphic processor. But once some how i got a long beep with 2 short beeps with everything in place( Doesn't come everytime).
Once this had happened, i pulled the power cable blew some air to clear the dust and then it actually started. But only once now doen't start again. Could it be the power cable. I have not installed any new devices no BIOS updates.
LED's turn ON, CPU and Graphic FANS turn ON without any problem.
How to trace whether it is the CPU, PSU, Graphic card, RAM or the motherboard. Is the mother board all right?

Exactly what I thought, jwhouk. hma, this is very likely not the best place to get support for such a technical issue. And, just for future reference, if you speak English, people are more likely to help you in an English speaking forum.

Check your motherboard's manual to figure out the POST codes that it uses.  It can vary depending on manufacturer and model.
