And you can read half of it here. (http://www.authonomy.com/book/52146/)
I know I'm quite new here and am not a particularly regular poster, but I thought, "Hey, these guys seem cool and into writing and junk" so I thought I'd stick this up.
I'm still in the process of polishing and finishing the last couple of parts, so it's not the full thing, but I think what is posted on the Authonomy website is a pretty good spread of all the things I'm trying to cover in it.
It's called Redcoat: America Rising, and is an alternate history novel set in 19th Century America. I won't say much more than that. If it seems like your bag then please have a read and comment on anything you find. I really look forward to people's feedback on this, as it's not only my first novel, it's also the first time I've really delved into a world as deep and complex as the one I'm trying to build for anything more than about 5000 words.
I don't care if you like it or hate it, but I would love to hear why you think what you do of it.

Sounds interesting. I think I'll start reading it tonight if I have some time.

I'm up to my eyeballs in work right now, but I love alternative histories, so I'm definitely game. Did you want/need feedback in a specific timeframe or anything?

I'm about 150 pages in right now... much farther than I planned to be, given the hour. Good stuff so far, though.
