My name is also a syllable.  I live in Michigan, I look at infrared photography for a living, and I study rocks. 

I started reading QC as a freshman in college, when a girl whom I was supposed to be helping study for a chemistry exam the next day asked to take a break so she could check for the new update and then pointed out how much I looked like Faye.  (As it turned out, we both wound up failing that test.)  I've been known to lurk in the forums whenever dramatic things go down, but this is my first time posting.
