Title: Technical problem with the website design
Post by: Schwungrad on 30 Jan 2015, 13:10
Not sure whether this is the appropriate place for this, but as of today (or maybe already yesterday) the site's design suddenly looks broken. If I enable adblock, it looks like it used to (and should, imo) again, but I don't want to deprieve Jeph of the ad revenue (and some ads are indeed worth clicking on).

Not much use putting it here, as we have nothing to do with the comic site itself.  Email Jeph - I expect he's been fiddling with the CSS around the adverts.  It's OK in FireFox and Opera, and wrong in Chrome and IE. Oops - I forgot that they have adguard in place.

I'll say, it doesn't do it will -all- the pages. I was doing a bit of archive trolling, and found that for most of the pages they loaded normally, but there were about a third that had the giant white space on the right. I had chalked it up to my browser goofing, rather than the page having issues itself. I guess I was wrong  :psyduck:

Now it's mostly gone for me. For a while it was pretty reproducible. I guess it was one badly-formatted ad. But as Google AdSense just lets me block the suspect...

Strip http://www.questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=2893 has disappeared.  Seems to have something to do with the Guest strip for 2983 (http://www.questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=2983).

If you email Jeph about it, he'll know to fix it!
