I know it's the year of the Goat, but I was born in the year of the Dragon apparently so fuck y'all (and happy nude rear).

You will see this year variously described as the Year of the Sheep, Ram or Goat. All are correct, because the character for the year is 羊, which can mean sheep or goat, and is included in more specific words:

山羊 = goat (the first character means mountain)
绵羊 = sheep (the first character means cotton or, figuratively, fluffy)
羚羊 = antelope.
小羚羊 = gazelle.

Incidentally... I'm a bit amazed that a band would illustrate a track called Year of the Dragon with one drawn from Western legends about fire-breathing, destructive, winged dragons. Dragons look quite different, and have a very different, generally honoured and positive place, in Chinese legends.

Happy New Year.

So if I were inclined to such things, what are the Year of the Ram mean for us?

That depends on which astrologer you ask...

I think the only thing we can really predict with any accuracy is that anyone working for a Chinese takeaway or restaurant who looks even slightly Asian is going to be subject to poor pronunciation and idiotic grinning tonight.

I couldn't really comment on that honestly, the Zodiac series is one they've been doing for a long time and I've never seen any Chinese influence in the cover artworks.
