One of the Immortals of cinema, IMO. He could bring gravitas and depth to any film, no matter how puerile and vapid the script and plot. The motion picture arts are poorer for his passing.
-
The world itself is poorer for his passing. He was by all accounts an all around amazing man who lived and did so much in his lifetime. Rest well, dear man. You have certainly earned it.

Christmas just won't be the same

I'm sorry sir, but you are wrong in this case... We remember you for more than just your acting career, as impressive as it may be.

A truly great actor has passed. He'll be missed.
Hm. I should probably watch one or two of his movies this weekend. Now, what should I see? Mio, My Mio? Police Academy 7? Star Wars (Prequels)? Alice in Wonderland? Charlie and the Chocolate factory? The Golden Compass? Sleepy Hollow? Gremlins 2? The Three/Four Musketeers? Sherlock Holmes? Color of Magic? Master of the Jewelry? The man with the Golden Gun? Too many choises, I'll just go listen to some nice metal instead, like Manowar, or Charlemagne.

RIP Charlemagne

He will also be remembered for the tons of awful movies he played in. As put by the good folks of Nanarland (a French website about nanars, à French word for "so bad it's good" movies), he was definitely an immense actor, and he made even the worst movies he played in enjoyable to watch, adding in a welcome touch of panache and craziness without which they would have been just boring awful flicks.

As Tom Baker would say, Christopher Lee could make whippet shit sound like Old Testament. He had an incredible voice and an absolutely amazing on-screen presence.
