Too bad it works off Back to the Future 1 rules instead of an alternate timeline/multiverse rule.
It's even more heartbreaking when you realise that all the friends that Jack made and all the people he helped, won't exist now. The Scotsman, never existed. The Monkey tribe, never existed. The Spartans, never existed. All those friends, gone in an instant, because Jack succeeded. But then again, they'll never suffer a future under Aku.

I don't think so. The general consensus seems to be that it was the most fitting ending for the show. Looking back, it was never going to be a show with an outright happy ending.
I mean, they could have had Jack dying. Now that probably would have broken out some torches and pitchforks.
