Michael Fassbender's pet project is coming out Dec 2016.
This picture showed up on the movie's twitter page and shows a phone number:

If you call the number (1-646-845-9162) You get the Abstergo CEO's voicemailbox and its pretty cool.

December 21, 2016 is the date that the Assassin's Creed movie is scheduled to come to theaters. That's just one week after the release of the first Star Wars spinoff movie Star Wars: Rogue One.

In other recent news about the Assassin's Creed movie, some on-set images showing off Michael Fassbender in costume leaked earlier this month. The movie is directed by Justin Kurzel, who recently helmed Macbeth, which also featured Fassbender in the lead role.

His Macbeth co-star Marion Cotillard will also appear in the Assassin's Creed movie, alongside Jeremy Irons, Brendan Gleeson, and Michael Kenneth Williams

Out of all the games I'd like to see a (good) movie adaptation, Assassin's Creed is pretty low in the list. I loved the gameplay and setting of the first couple of games, but the future stuff was pretty boring. And don't get me started on all that Apple of Eden ancient aliens shit. What the fuck even was that?

So really, I see this going one of two ways:

1. They ignore all the batshit insane Scientology stuff (I don't really remember, I seem to have repressed the endings of the games from my memory) and end up with a pretty generic action movie with some parkour stuff and a scifi twist.

2. They go all out on the game's story, and well.. the movie is obviously going to be dumb as shit.

Either way.. can't I get that Halo movie instead?

Present guy isn't Desmond, my money's on Abstergo trying to use the Animus to train an anti-Assassin strike force. The action feels right and looks very much like a game in the Ezio trilogy. The Animus looks stupid though and I'm getting bad Terminator:Salvation "resurrect an executed criminal and use him for experiments/infiltration only to have him turn good at the end" vibes.
