There's one for relationships, but I'm sure we have plenty of lost and forgotten characters in QC-Verse.

Which long or recently lost QC Character would you like to see more of? In any capacity?


Recently, my answer is Dora. She was very important back in the day but has slipped so far into the background we barely know if she and Tai are even still a thing.

There are many of them I would like to see again. Bubbles, Sam, Emily, Sven, PT410X. In that order, I would say....

But mainly Bubbles.

I'd like for some time spent on the couples that are canon but get little or no screen-time as they're supporting/background. For example:
Penny and Wil are particularly interesting as they could be used as a 'window' into The Horrible Revelation and its own social circles. We'd also be able to see how Brun is fitting in. Is Clinton now a regular barfly, spending time there because Brun (and maybe because Elliott) are there? Has Jimbo developed a taste for the weird foreign beers? There is potential for an entire beta group or even spin-off strip based around that grouping!

I really liked Angus' character...

But right now, the strip could be shouting bird for days on end and I'd be happier.

Need to get back to Bubbles...
Bubbles is (IMnotsoHO) where Jeph does his best writing.
Then Marten and Faye (together).

Who is "Clarice"? I see this name mentioned here and there, but have no memory. Plus, neither does the QC wiki character page.

There's the Clarice from Girls With Slingshots. I don't know if that's the one they mean, but it's the only one I can think of.

Afaik, the only clarice ever mentioned in QCwas when Veronica thought that was Claire’s name, right?

The GWS Clarice crossed over into Something Positive, and I seem to recall Davan and a female character (can't remember which - it might have been her) from S*P making a silent and unnamed cameo in an early QC strip.

ETA: No, it was PeeJee, not Clarice.

What about Sven's lawyer, the one Faye mistook for a hooker? Was her name Clarice?

Mostly Dale, and to a lesser extent

Veronica: what is she doing now for work? Still a dom but now in Northampton? Retired?
Elliott: want to know more about his background
May: how are things going, is she trying to find her own place? Maybe explore the theme of her being tempted to fall back into criminal activity, as happens with many ex-cons who have a hard time finding any reasonable legal employment to support themselves.
Jeremy: how are things at the skating rink? Is Hank the dismemberer still present?

Faye/Bubbles is fine, but they have gotten quite a bit of attention so I'm fine with other characters for a bit first.

According to just about every Buffy/Stargate crossover fan-fiction that I've read, the difference between these two things is only subjective! :wink:

Please give us some updates on all the neglected characters before introducing another new character. There has been a lot of character introductions lately while others are falling off the face of the earth with no closure.

As much as I agree, this is so very often the way that real life works (and it's just as frustrating, sometimes).

I wouldn't mind seeing more of Dr. Corrine. Faye meeting her was comedy gold. And, even though Faye's support system has expanded since and she has made progress, it's not like she is completely out of the woods yet.

Also, Faye and her support group visits would be interesting. Is she still going? With or without moral support now that Hanners is not available?

Honestly any character we haven't seen in years or that practically never show up anymore.  Like, when was the last time we saw Tai, for example?  Are she and Dora still together?  Or the band Marten's in.  Is Marten even still in the band?  Or hell, how about the original main characters.  Pintsize hasn't had even a supporting role in a story in who knows how long and is basically there to deliver quippy one-liners in the rare cases he shows up.  Same with Dora for the most part, though she did get some play during the TaffyTilly storyline.  Even Marten seldom makes an appearance anymore.

I'd actually like a Claire the Student arc where we 'sit in' with her in her Masters of Library Science class, maybe meet a few of her peers in passing and maybe have her reacting to something like them saying: "Mr Reed in the Library is sooo dreamy!"
