BUBBLES: "Syba is such a beautiful baby! We're so lucky!"
FAYE: "You're only saying that because you weren't up all night dealing with diapers, feeding and line voltage incompatibilities!"
-
Bubbles: "It truly is a work of art."
Faye: "Can't sleep in it, so don't care."
-
Bubbles: “I hope we can have many more nights like last night.”
Faye: “I need to sleep sometime, you know.”

SCIBOT-08: "This is a state of the art facility that uses the latest in mobile and static artificial intelligences to maximise both science return and biological staff enjoyment and longevity!"
HANNERS: "Here that, Winslow! They aim for staff happiness! Isn't that great?"
WINSLOW: "I'm getting Soma flashbacks!"
-
08: "And just around the corner is the data center, where we believe AI first came into being outside of lab conditions. We have great hopes of reviving them, once we get the wiring right."
Hanners: "Won't that be exciting? I've heard they were very interested in raquetball."
Winslow: "Why are there pitchforks outside?"
-
Science Boy: “In there is the secure archive where we store Dr. Ellicot-Chatham’s software virus that takes control of every AI in the world and turns us into an unstoppable robot army!”
Hannelore: “Dad made that as an engagement present for Mom.”
Winslow: “Your parents really worry me sometimes.”
-
08: "... and this here on my right is the primary holding tank for the cold brewed coffee the majority of the biological staff operate on.
Hannelore: "Here that, Winslow! They aim for staff happiness! Isn't that great?"
Winslow: "Being around hyper caffeinated Cephalopods worries me. That and speculating about the barrels of freeze-dried spiders."

08: ... We plan to start negotiating a trade agreement, but mostly for diplomatic purposes, I'm afraid. Humans make things that are mostly useless to them, and they lack industrial infrastructure for manufacturing. But they're eager to have closer relations with humans.
Hannelore: These sculptures their delegation brought in make that very clear. And there's always a market for good artists. People really value handmade ... well, tentacle-made ... art. Anyway, if there's a profit to be made I'm sure Mom can be trusted to figure out how to make it.
Winslow: I don't know... I'm just saying that some people might find the 'closer relations between our people' these sculptures portray, just a little unsettling.
