Disenchantment on Netflix. Its pretty funny if you're a fan of D&D, GoT, Conan the barbarian, or any fantasy setting. It takes awhile to find its footing but its pretty good. The last 3 episodes really drew me in and I just found out I missed the post credit scene from the final episode which gives a further "What?!" to the season ending. Unlike Futurama or the Simpsons it has a serial story as opposed to an episodic one. It has the same humor as Futurama but more raunchy since it isnt on TV (always look at the signs and backgrounds!). I can't wait to see season 2 after all the craziness and mystery that has been built up by the end of season 1. That's another thing, netflix didn't list it as "season 1" but as "part 1" and the next season is called "part 2." I found that an interesting decision. Maybe they planned to wrap it up after 2 seasons (parts)?
I think its best to go in knowing nothing, but I've link the trailer in the spoiler below if you want to see it.

I really liked it, though it feels more Futurama than Simpsons
-
I do not see that as a bad thing.

It felt like more its own thing to me. The only thing Futurama-y for me was the funny sign jokes.
-
Tried the first couple of episodes and totally zoned out during the second.
Dunno if I'll go back to it.

I finished the first season (part?) recently and I love it. Some jokes fall flat but I think they'll probably make it even better for the second part. The puns really get me.

That’s a legit complaint; it takes a while to really get started. The first episode, especially had me wondering if I should keep going, but by the fourth, I was loving it. I want to say it started picking up steam at episode 3

Watched the first two episodes tonight and yeah, it's been okay so far.

Fair enough...
On your recommendation, I will give the rest of it a go...
But be warned.. it's ALL on you if I think it sucks!! :)

I am also recommending it and will help shoulder the blame!

A common complaint is that the first 2 are the worst. They have to set up the world and the characters, but the 3rd episode definitely let's them run wild.
-
I liken it to Game of Thrones season 1. The first episode is kind of interesting and then it putters around doing world building much of the season but the last few episodes is what grabs you. You also have context on the ramifications of the final few episodes from all that puttering around from before.

I just finished it and yeah, it's worth watching through to the end so far.
-
Well...
I gave it a go, and just doesn't seem to gel with me at all.
Not that it's particularly bad, or anything... just.. didn't connect with it.

I enjoyed it more as a drama than as a comedy. I found it amusing, not ha-ha funny.
