Title: The Liber Fulvarum Paginarum
Post by: Digs on 15 Jan 2005, 09:36
This book bears mention in Gaiman books from time to time, and if you look hard enough, some Pratchett, too. Generally it is for summoning Death or a Horror from Beyond. I was just thumbing through Sandman a bit back and it caught my eye. Something was not right with this! I had never seen it mentioned anywhere else! Bust out that thinker, hero!

So after a bit of contemplation, I am now sure that the book's title is dog Latin for "the book of yellow pages". The shade of yellow it mentions is a little different from the one the phone companies use, but. It's Pratchett's Necrotelecomnicon.

Interesting!  I need to get around to reading more Gaimen, Pratchett, Moore.  Etc.

I noticed that Gaimen wrote Green Lantern for awhile mid 90's, any read those?

You know Latin?  Neat!

I know a little. Liber was simple enough, library. Paginarum took care of itself, too. I had to ask the internet and its poor translator sites a couple of times about the yellow whatsit.

I know Gaiman did a lot more comics, but I haven't looked into them. Har, Lucifer's name. Lucy for what?

I needs to read more of that tem tere Sandman series.  I've read, wut, the begining.  The Martian Manhunter cameo I thought was amusing.  It took me a couple reads to put things in place, mostly due to less knowledge in DCiverse.
