Title: Keeping a theatre alive
Post by: pwhodges on 30 May 2020, 15:25
The Old Vic Theatre in London , instead of streaming past performances free on YouTube for a limited period, is planning to livestream (only) actual performances (of a play with a cast of only two), selling "tickets" to watch, and limiting the sales per performance to 1000, about the size of the venue for a real audience.  Ticket prices are given as a range, so that you can choose to help keep them afloat.  These are live performances, not filmed - you have to watch at the time you book.
