No poll, sorry. I went back to work today and that is taking up a fair chunk of my headspace.

Did that about 4 years ago now.  Be aware, you will likely tend to yaw to one side.  And pushing off with that foot will have to be relearning to an extent

It's kind of strange to have Faye helping Bubbles make the choice that they both knows is right. I guess this shows that this is a genuinely balanced relationship!

Everyone still annoyed at me in the other thread for not getting Emmetts gender right ?

I'm too scared to check. They got like, really nasty.

Since you brought it up, even if it's off topic for the thread - could you please point to the part of the discussion you felt was nasty? I am genuinely asking.

EDIT: and ideally, explain what specifically you think crossed a line, since I'm rereading the thread and I don't think anything particularly hostile or confrontational there, not really.

Maybe it's so that she can flush red with battle rage?

@snubnose I'd be interested in that as well. It all seemed reasonably civilized in my eyes?

Is this the same Bubbles we saw acting like a piece of playground equipment?

This is the strip I had in mind:

Yes, but Bubbles already knows Emily and Hannelore. Emmett, on the other hand, is an unknown factor.

Not nasty, as far as I could tell, but my impression is that the replies to snubnose were of the sort of “we’ve hashed this out already”, and I could see how coming into the thread later would not be the most comfortable feeling.

For comic #4697... (https://questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=4697)

Some great points with this comic (4697)...

1. Emmett Opening Up - Excellent depiction by action, showing Emmett brushing back her hair and removing her hood, to show she is beginning to relax and open up.

2. Dented Head Joe - Emmett's anecdote and "grasp of the practicalities of the situation" probably means Emmett's dad's buddy is a robot (humanoid Anthro PC) as well.

'They/them' pronouns for Emmett, at the moment. That's how Sam refers to them anyway :)

Is this the first time we've seen Bubbles wink?

I think that Sam always knew that all Emmett needed to come out of their shell was someone who would not act as if they were a freak for how they think and how they view the rest of the universe. I strongly empathise with that because 'being like other humans' has always been a struggle for me.

I believe Bubbles could bench press a Vickers 6-ton. (Widely popular during the late 30s and served as the basis for many later designs.)

... Also, is that a Genshin joke I spy? (I mean, it could be mortal combat, but Ei has a big super-deadly bladed polearm, and the mortal combat character does not)

"I bet I can stand up to a single full-force blow from the grass-cutting lightning sword" does seem like a...poor choice of bets.

But any thoughs on what actually cut the bot in half -other- than Bubbles?

Because it could totally have been Bubbles.  Or factory equipment.  Or Bubbles holding factory equipment.

So, not a display piece, rather a leftover for parts. Interesting. Reminds me of my little (not so little) pile of dead equipment for parts in my projects. Sometimes it pays off.

Last we heard of their finances (when Faye was thinking of hiring May) they were still struggling. Sam brought in more money with her sprays than Faye and Bubbles did with their regular work.

Weird random question; was Dr. John Ellicott-Chatham blond before his hair went grey?

EDIT: typo correction. I need to get a replacement stylus.
EDIT 2: Anybody know of a good free alternate keyboard for Androids that doesn't have ads or malware?

For some reason, I've got a feeling that's Punchbot's first chassis, the one before acquired his fighting body. A wager that ends in a hemicorporectomy sounds like his kind of error.

I don't remember seeing old pictures of him. Hannelore could have inherited it from her mom (or is it recessive like blue eyes?).

It's recessive, but if Beatrice's colour is natural, Hannerdad could have any hair colour.

And we see in 4699 that Dented Head Joe is not included among the three that Emmett listed, so Joe is a Human. (Unless, I suppose, that Joe doesn't reside in Emmett's home town).

Sadly, considering the magnitude of Emmet's crush, their life is gonna suck for a bit if Sam's not interested.  I remember being about that close and inseparable with someone, and how hard it hit when she told me that she started going out with $now_husband.  Even five years older and used to such rejections,, that gutted me for a bit.  Still, in the end, things worked out.  They're happy, it turns out that she and I would have been totally incompatible anyway, and with him I gained an additional friend.

I strongly empathise with that because 'being like other humans' has always been a struggle for me.

At the risk of saying something controversial : don't struggle to be like other humans.  Instead be the best *you* that you can be.  In many ways I'm not much like other humans.  But I've been a lot better since I've started pursuing goals other than just being like other humans.  To be blunt it's not what I'm good at. But there are other things that I'm very good at.

You may find in yourself admirable qualities or startling abilities that most humans lack.  If most humans are better  at some things than you, it's because they're playing to their strengths.  If your strengths are different, you shouldn't handicap yourself by doing any less.

It took me a few moments of staring to realize that Bubbles meant the protective cover on THE FAN.  I mean, the protective covers on Bubbles and also on Emmett are also missing (and Emmett's was only recently removed).
