rpgs and mmorpgs and counterstrike dont count :)
im talking about most hours logged, i guess.
oh and it doesnt have to be one you play currently
-
Probably Quake 1.
Before QuakeWorld or TeamFortress or any of that, there was just straight up net Quake. I had just arrived in college ('96) and had a very fast connection. Our clan took third in the second-ever large scale quake tourney, the ClanRing T2.
I played that shit for years.
-
Probly Pokemon Silver, although i didn't do much playing as much as just hitting the same buttons over and over while i watch TV. You don't get 6 'mons up to level 100 by hope alone...
-
Steel Panthers.
I have been palying them since the first one arrived.
-
why dont rpgs count? 90% of teh games i play are rpgs
-
Unreal Tournament or Dungeon Crawl.
Man, I've been playing both for years.
-
Sonic 2.
Been playing it since I was seven, at least 2 Hrs a week for 9 years = a game I never can tire of.
-
diablo 2.
I'm a recovering d2 addict. I take it one day at a time.
-
Both Pokeymens and D2 are RPGs.
When I think about it, probably Tetris. No, wait, Advance Wars 2.
-
IMHO, Diablo2 is not a RPG.
-
rpgs dont count because its not unnatural to set.....unnatural amount of hours into these games.
and diablo 2 is an rpg.
-
id have said final fantasy tactics advance but if rpg's are out then id have to say.....
Timesplittters 2. me and my mate spent 2 years completeing that on hard mode, a great bond was built between us. ^_^

Timesplitters 2 in 2-player mode is awsomeness incarnate. My brother and I played it all the way through - though only on the normal setting (we live in different cities, time is at a premium).
The game I've played the most - in terms of completing it over and over, rather than in terms of hours logged - is Dune 2. Classic for a reason.
-
Diablo 2, Warcraft 2, Unreal Tournament and Fallout 2 are four of the games I've played the most.
The undisputed winner must be The Specialists though, seeing as it's pretty much the only computer game I've been arsed to play during the past two years or so.
-
If we're not counting Counter-Strike, probably MOHAA.
-
I'd say Rouge Spears, but that's pretty close to Counterstrike.
So I'll just say... GTA Vice City.
You can never get tired of raising the wanted level to the max and stealing a tank and raising all sorts of hell all over the place on a boring day.

True that, redstar.
Now, though, I've move onto stealing tanks in GTA San Andreas, where you can actually aim the gun (relatively speaking). Plus, dogfights in the old WW2 planes are fun.
-
Both Pokeymens and D2 are RPGs
Ass.
I guess Civilazation 3 then....
-
Soldier of Fortune 2. I played prolly 240 hours in one month. Over my ... 2.5? year career, probably logged well over 2000 hours.
-
Hmmm, if we were including RPGs then I'd say FF8, but since we're not I'll have to say Tony Hawks 3 for the PSone, god I played that game to death!
-

hmm even if i played it 3 times? that would be fallout 2...
-
Megaman X
That game was the first game I ever played and understood what was going on.
-
Quake 1 or Doom 2. I'm discounting The Specialists seeing as I worked on it, though even if you discount all the testing shit it's probably still top.
-
Quite possibly I have logged many hours playing any Mega Man game. At least the early days.
Though I do have this urge to play MegaMan Legends all over again
-
I sank an ungodly amount of time into King's Quest. All of them, but mostly VI.
-
Tekken 5 recently, and before I cancelled it, FFXI.
I play Tekken 5 at least a hour a day, but nothing else. There really hasn't been anything that suits my fancy lately.
Oh, dur, Gran Turismo 4. Christ I sold part of me to that game and it still beckons me with the thought of DeLorean and Lotus, living in the same digital world.
-
oohohhoho, the Pro Evo games. 3 most likely, 4 is great, but no longer am I student with hours to burn. God we played 3 a lot. Such a great game.
-
Twinsen's odyssey (little big adventure 2).
Probably not, actually, but I loved that game and i spent a hell of a lot of time playing it. Now, Its probably Mario Kart: Double Dash, thanks to living in a college dorm last year.
-
Warcraft 3, Mortal Kombat 2, and Sonic 3 linked with Sonic & Knuckles (the most genius idea
evar)
-
super mario bros. i can now beat it in 10 minutes. sexy? yes.
-
I must also add that I've spent countless hours in WWE Wrestlemania 2000
-
Starcraft / Rome Total War
I like civilization 3, but the time it takes to scroll through all the units' movements bores me to no end.
-
got to be quake/quakeworld
-
I still don't see why D2 doesn't count.
-
i agree, i motion that Diablo II counts. Because let's face it, it's no more an RPG than... say... Fable.
Sure, it's a fantasy game, but fantasy does NOT automatically mean RPG.
-
Freelancer. I lost my saved games on my old computer a while ago, just after breaking the 10,000,000 credit mark, so I've been playing the hell out of it on my new machine ever since.
I only just hit the 500,000 mark, though. Got a while to go yet.
-
Grim Fandango. I've completed it 8, maybe 9 times now, and I'm half-way through it again at the moment.
Though it gets shorter each time, because I can race through the puzzles, I still get just as absorbed in the storyline as I did the first time I played it.
Buy it off of eBay, all of you.
-
BF1942 as a multiplayer I play more than anything else, must have played over 1000's of hours of it. But that doesn't count I guess...
The legend of Zelda (some don't call it and RPG) Ocarina of Time. I've finished it about 10 times.
Goldeneye, must have clocked up 100's of hours on that, it's just too fun.
Tetris, who knows, I may have spent my whole youth playing it...
Shortest time ever on a game that i actually gave a chance - Prince of Persia, Sands of time. The game was so unbeleivably frustrating, unresponive controls, really bad cameras, terrible acting, everything about it made me wanna puke. i spent maybe an hour before uninstalling it.
