Found this through the Nothing Nice to Say Guest strip (http://yirmumah.net) and it's pretty amusing!
-
I'm a big fan. You should read through the archives, the Scott Kurtz storyline is pretty hilarious. And don't forget Coffman's "So you want to be a cartoonist" ditty on PVComics.
-
I'm in the process of reading through it. My favorite so far has to be Satan on the phone with Dick Chaney.
-
Whoa-- get out of here. I'm totally new to the reading QC thanks to Mitch linking it up.
Damn, I come in here to look around and see a plug for my comic. I owe Mitch like an arm or something now!
Seriously, Mitch e-mailing me lead me to actually go and find some of the best webcomics I've seen in awhile-- this one, Joe and Monkey and of course Mitch's Nothing Nice 2 Say.
Glad you guys dig the strip. People seem to "love/hate" me usually.
-
I think the trade for plugs starts off with just the fingers before limbs but I am not all to sure.
Good comic though, the guest strip you did for Mitch was awesome.

Thanks bro. I was under much pressure to perform!

You see, that's weird. Because I hate/love you.
Life is crazy, huh?

I found Yirmumah about month ago. Funny stuff...
And i don't need an "Brick of silence" i heave the "lead pipe of submission"

For anyone following this thread-- and because I don't want to blatantly self promote so I'll keep it in this thread here.... but
Bob Stevenson reviews Yirmumah in his comic/blog Journey into History.
"Yirmumah by D.J. Coffman and Bob McDeavit is an excellent example of why the syndicates should give up now."

Jeez, I kind of wish he'd of said what strip he found offensive though. Otherwise, rock!
-
I know-- I totally want to know-- I asked him what it was...
-
Heh. I wonder if it's any of the strips he mentions. Or maybe it was one of the ones making fun of Kerry?

Just found out-- it was one of the ones where I must have said the word GAY -- or "Nah, Resolutions are for fags."
-
Yirmumah rocks like fuck. I was browsing through the daily grind strips looking for ones worth reading and the strip about the pope came up. I'm hooked.
-
HAHAHA! I just clicked the Yirmumah link for the first time and I get the "Hanging with Jesus"! Thats all I needed to see to be sold! :D
-
Thanks guys....
I've gotten more hate mail this week than any other week ever-- so hearing some people think these things are funny means a lot.
-
what asshole would send you hatemail?
Funny ass comic
-
Dude, your comic rawks so hard.
You just got yourself a new reader!

I had a guy say he was Michael Shiavo's lawyer and told me to take down the strip I did about that whole deal.
I told him either way he could blow me.
-
tell him hes a lawyer and should learn know what the first ammendment says

I really assumed it was just some a-hole. Definitly not a lawyer of any kind.
It was definitly someone who wasn't pleased with that comic.
Amazing how a comic can stir things like that. Ah, the power of a cartoonist.
-
Seriously, that 24 show needs to be mocked more. I had no idea what that Shiavo stuff was about at first though it still was pretty damn funny.
The power of a cartoonist indeed. Keep at it.

Me like comic.

Yeah great F-ing comic and likesay.

Not like you don't already get enough praise in this thread, but I too love it.
I still wish I'd had the bank for the grind on time, I would love to be duking it out with you over there. It would have been an honor. Oh well, maybe next time.
