I recently installed the Heroes of Might and Magic 5 MP beta that was on FilePlanet.  Little did I know that it came with StarForce.  Some other game that I installed before also seems to have been using it as a protection scheme.  Either way, a while back I noticed that things were getting choppy, and things were jittering.  I uninstalled the crap that StarForce installs, and voila, everything is good again.  I suggest that you guys check to see if it is installed, and remove it if it is.

How is the beta? I'm really excited for HoMaM5, as 3 was one of my most favorite games ever, but I didn't like the changes they made for 4.

The MP stuff was not nice.  Sure, it's a beta, but I wasn't very fired up/excited.

As to StarForce, it entirely breaks Auto Assault.  Forgot about that.

Ah, Starforce.  If games don't work, people will get frustrated with them, and won't recommend or copy them for their friends!  BRILLIANCE!

How did you remove it? I downloaded the tool but am weary of using it.
