Triple Threat, Justine Dorsey, Launches Her Singing Debut As She Sets To Debut Her First Album This Spring
“Brothers And Sisters” Star Takes The Music World By Storm With Her Youthful Sounds
(Hollywood, CA) Just thirteen years old, this pint size superstar has already accomplished more than people twice her age. Justine Dorsey is acclaimed to be a triple threat. She currently has a reoccurring role on ABC’s hit show “Brothers and Sisters,” playing Rob Lowe’s daughter, Sophie McCallister. As she has established her reputation in the acting world, her plans in the new year is to take the music world with the same attitude as she has taken the thespian world. Her first single “Let’s Go,” has such a positive and upbeat message that can be translated through all ages. She is recording her debut album with renowned music producer Keith Sterling. Her music brings a refreshing spirit to the music industry, which many children can emulate.
“There is a different excitement that I get when I perform as a singer, which I don’t get from being on camera and I think it is the immediate response I get from the audience that I love,” Justine says.
Singing began at an early age and to enhance her singing ability, Justine started taking vocal lessons at the age of eight at the Goodrich Vocal Studio. She also took opera classes—which helped her with her ability to be multifaceted. She has performed in many theatre companies such as the American Girl Theatre playing leading role Katie, Hollywood Bowl’s ‘Sound of Music’ as Brigitta, and Center Stage Co. as the one and only Sandy in ‘Grease’. She is currently taking guitar lessons, enjoys playing the French horn, and has almost two years of playing piano behind her.
Justine is still your ordinary thirteen year old. She is on point in ballet, takes rhythmic gymnastics, and enjoys writing. She currently enjoys learning history because she finds it fascinating. For such a young girl, Justine still manages to know how lucky she is. She reminds herself how fortunate she is to have such amazing parents. Justine always says to herself, “Wow, my life is so… magical!” She realizes how there are many people who would love to be in the position she is in and takes everything that comes her way as something to be thankful for. Eager to show the world what she can do in the world of music, she is ready to take center stage as she has idolized such hit makers as Sutton Foster and Gwen Stefani. 2009 surely looks like Justine’s time to shine, and she is ready more than ever to capture our hearts on stage as she has on screen.
About Justine Dorsey: Her love of acting began at the age of five. Prior to Justine’s acting career, she remembers asking her mother “how the people got in the little box.” From there her natural ability to perform was set in motion. Her film work includes the Hallmark movie “A Grandpa for Christmas,” and has also appeared on the Sarah Silverman show. Justine has also appeared in national commercial for companies like Toyota, Dell Computers, Mc Donalds, and JC Penny. Justine is the oldest in a family of two girls—who also plays Rob Lowe’s daughter on the hit ABC show “Brothers and Sisters.” She has performed at the “Just Like Heaven” after party with her younger sister Kerris. She enjoys spending time with her family. Justine is sophisticated and wise beyond her years.
