Tootin' my own horn
« on: 08 Jun 2009, 19:54 »

I haven't read the forum rules in awhile, so I forget if this is against the rules, but if it is feel free to delete this thread, mods.

My band just did some studio time and we have two songs for you guys to listen to:

www.myspace.com/spondaicbuttons

We kind of sound like Scratch Acid, The Jesus Lizard, Eyehategod, and other such acts.

I was thoroughly hoping that you were going to amaze us with your horn skills.

Reminds me a lot of Danzig. There's an album (don't remember which) where Glenn Danzig's voice sounds exactly like the vocalist's. I like the harmonica. I like guitar sound, too. The drums in Good Stuff are really simplistic, and not in a cool punk way. Wasn't really paying attention to the lyrics, but Trainyard is a cool name for a song.

Overall, I think the worst thing about your songs is that they're too long - both of them I wanted to be over about a minute before they were. The best thing about the songs is that you kind of sound like Danzig.
