I know there has to be a thread before about this, but since forum search functions are generally exceedingly cumbersome i think it would be best to suspend the possible kerble and just blaze ahead:

What are y'all's favorite blogs to read about cool stuff? here are some of mine:

BLDGBLOG is an excellent, if far-fetched blog about architecture, urbanism and geography. Mr. Manaugh has a tendency to do the whole "what if, like, people were buildings, maaaan" thing but it is a fascinating wellspring of information, arresting images and insightful thoughts so i don't care. In a similar vein there are:
pruned
and
Mammoth.

Other stuff:
you probably already know how awesome strange maps is.
cakewrecks is hilarious.
i think ryan north contributes to this always edifying blog..

I have a bunch that I read daily, but here are the best ones:

Sleep Talkin' Man Random things said by an Englishman in his sleep. Generally they are offensive and filthy and terrible. Or about puppies.
Architecture (The Contemporist) Basically I just go to this one and drool over 90% of the houses.
Not Always Right Stupid things customers say and do. Alternately entertains and horrifies you.
Letters to Crushes For your daily "awwwwwwww"- anonymous letters to people you are madly in love with, or just in like with.
Shit My Kids Ruined I almost hurts to look at because I just cringe, but I can't stop checking it out.
What Claudia Wore For the ladies (and gentlemen?) that read The Babysitter's Club when they were little. Claudia's outfits seem even crazier when you read about them now.

Most of the rest of mine are fashion/celebrity blogs because I am maybe a little shallow like that. If anyone wants links I will gladly post!
