i sewed a robe. the sleeves, collar and pattern itself were stolen from a robe that was my dad's, until it fell apart. it's pretty spiffy and was actually quite simple to make.

Very nice, my greatest sewing accomplishment is a some letter shaped pillows from 7th grade or stitching up the a hole in pocket of my coat

Sewing is fun. I made these fleece pants

and this purse/messenger bag thingie

All the patches were hand stitched on tho. I also made a few others for some of my friends.

I need to learn how to sow.

I have a bunch of patches to put on my jeans

Plus making stuff is hella better than buying them...

Haha.

I turned a pair of gross shorts into a miniskirt, but I don't know if that counts. I've made some other things, but nothing fantastic.

i sew all kinds of stuff. i tightened a pair of jeans by hand and vowed to never do that again. now i have my friend with a sewing machine do that for me. i have this really old really haggard pair of jeans that were my dads in the 70's and then i got them and tried to keep them alive with patches and repair jobs and stuff but they are basically dead. i'll try to get a picture if i remember.
in conclusion: sewing is badass and manly.

Also I would like to point out that the combination of Sailor Moon and faux-Kerouac / Sonic Youth spelling is perhaps the purest distillation of what this forum is that we have yet been presented with.

I've discovered that I sew like an engineer.  You see, my friend's boyfriend had a shirt with a button off, and he brought it to her to get it sewed back on.  She couldn't do it, so I took over, and when I was done, that sucker was not coming off.  The rest of the shirt would fall apart before anything happened to that goddamned button.  Did it look pretty?  Hell no!  But it was solid.  Maybe I should get my mother (bachelor's and master's degrees in textiles) to teach me a bit about sewing so that it actually looks good.

Trousers that are too small + scissors + (needle + thread) = Free shorts.

I have never been more secure in my sexuality than I am now.
