Anyone pick up Built to Spill's latest? If so, what do you think?

I'm listening to it right now, and it's pretty damn good. A little different, but at least I'm remembering the songs at all, unlike Ancient Melodies.

I've been listening to it for a couple hours now.  So far, only Liar has really caught my attention, but it's all pretty good.

This album's pretty eclectic. "Goin Against Your Mind" sounds punkish, while "Wherever You Go" sounds like a Neil Young & Crazy Horse jam. It's all good, but people should expect a different feel than Keep it Like a Secret or Perfect From Now On.

A band from my home town. I've never listened to a single record, but I'm glad some boise kids are havin' their success.

He's King Midas was a cuuuuurse, he's King Midas in reverrrrrrse...

I'm sorry, I felt a burning need to post that.

Eww. Now I must go and wash myself and my clothes with methylated spirits to expunge the wicked stench of the Hollies.

I like it.  I've only listened to it twice so it hasn't really sunk in yet, but it seems to be a lot more instrument-centric than their other stuff

I was listening to Perfect From Now On recently, and I realize that I really miss the overdubs. Well, the guitar overdubs, anyway.

I picked it up yesterday.  The fact that it has more instrumental stuff going on is something I really like.
