How would a team of indie superheros look like? What powers would the members have? How would their costumes look like? Would the mess up their haircut in a telephone booth, before they get into action? Is superl33tism a real power?
Could you be one of them?

by the way, i believe in the macculate inconception

Why do you need to make superheroes any more indie?

Unless someone else can come up with something amazing, I think you are right.

Peter Parker is probably more of a Death Cab for Cutie fan though.

Because I can't sleep, and because winning, or at least getting bronze in, a thread twice is awesome...

It's official Khar, you win.

But you'll win forever if you draw Metal Man next

my only gripe is that kids who look like EmoLass generally have no idea who Rites of Spring is.

Of course she doesn't know who Rites of Spring are. The record is the first hand numbered copy of the first pressing of RoS's self titled - it is, in fact the primary source of all emo. It was given to her by Captain Scene as he lay dying after his last confrontation with the dreaded Pop Punk. He told her that, when the time was right, she too would come to understand its power. Unfortunately, she hasn't got a record player, and neither does Hipsterboy: he broke it trying to play a scratched-up (from cutting lines of coke) Radiohead gold award disk he had been rewarded by the grateful band for saving their weakling asses.

Since eternal victory is a tantalising thing:

The Metallian is not a super-hero, but an elemental force of ROCK. When the magic guitars of earth, fire, water, wind and the bass of HATE are used to play the intro riff to Iron Man by the chosen of the Metal Gods, The Metallian rises from a burning pentagram, holding aloft the horns and headbanging to infernal chants of "wow-oh-oh-oh-oooooh", before he plays an insane solo on his seven necked guitar, the built in amp of which, powered by the might of hell, has a volume knob measured in 'Motorheads'.

Ok, I'm back in, but only for this thread and only because of Khar.
Khar, a mini-comic featuring these creations would awesome. Surely it wouldn't take long?

They're now officially a 'comic within a comic' for my webcomic.

I didn't realize there were scenesters who DONT know who rites of spring are. Around here you're just as likely to find girls name dropping RoS and Sunny day Real Estate while listening to Avenged Sevenfold.

From the Earth Day thread

Quote from: KharBevNor

Ah, but the Metallians whopping great chopper is powered not by petrol, but by evil.

And evil, as any man will tell you, is a reliable and infinitely renewable form of energy.

Could we amend this to Metallian's ride running on the souls of his defeated enemies?
