So I saw Architecture in Helsinki play in the city last night, and they were absolutely fucking amazing. Their singer was intense, and the front of the crowd was pretty much a dance party.

Also apparently a group of kids had skipped their prom to see the show, and at the end during the encore, they had this couple come up on stage and slow dance to Maybe you can owe me.

ALSO They played a bunch of new songs which all kicked ass, I want their new cd like...now.

I think they beat Mogwai and Broken Social Scene for best show I've seen.

Summery: If they're playing near you, or even if they're not...go see them play, they rule.

I was at that show too.  On the floor in the middle.  Great show.  One of the couples that had skipped the prom got a chance to slow dance on stage.  Their new album sounds different than their first two, but also sounds really promising -- I can't wait!

Did you go see them at Cake Shop afterward?  I had to book, with regrets.

Well, shoot, they're playing downtown tomorrow night, or so I hear. I'm there! That's pretty much the best thing someone can say about an act to get me to go see it live.

Edit: Sold out. Bummer.

Ok you know what? Fuck you! You know why? Because I've already spent my show budget but AiH is coming here and now I just have to go, and I'm going to be broke. I can’t avoid it. I was going to go to one more show I think but I couldn't decide between AiH and Boy Least Likely To. So I guess you just made up my mind for me. Thanks.

I'm kinda drunk.

I guess Boy Least Likely To was just a little less likely to go to, hmmm?

I missed them last time because they're van broke down in the States and they couldn't make it up to Montreal. I was really bummed about that.

Is the new CD out yet? A CD newer than In Case We Die?

No, but apparently it's progressing.  I haven't seen a release date yet, so for all I know, they might still be recording.

Yeah I saw them in Cambridge, MA last fall.....they are also playing tonight in San Francisco.

They are amazingly fun live, and I even got to speak to them after the show. They are sooo down to earth, it's refreshing.

I do want to go see them tonight but The New Amsterdams are playing here also this Friday and I need to save my money up......

:( Ah well.
