Stars and Stripes Forever played on one guitar and a snare drum.  The guitar is playing all four parts.  Including the piccolo.

Yeah, image quote and what not, but with the break and all I worried that this response would lose some of its impact.

That's pretty hardcore.

Am I the only one who thought this was hilarious?

However, I was also amused by the bird stealing the chips.

So what is the guitarist next to him playing?

Hello, I'd like to order a cake. With orange and yellow flowers, and a message written on it.

Sure, what would you like it so say?

"Best Wishes, Suzanne." And underneath that, "We will miss you."

Got it.

I just want to make a note that I don't think there has ever been a better "movie devil" than Tim Curry as Darkness in Legend.

Very cool. The sound was great, but too bad the video was "upside down". I always feel sorry for the folks on the other side of the stadium.

Okay okay, I know what it is, but I've never seen it before. A Calvin & Hobbes parody? Is this an online thing? A one-off thing?

I need answers!

What I want to know is, is it really by Siegel and Shuster or is that part of the parody? Those are the guys who created Superman, right?

band nerd critique ahoy. The director/musical arranger messed up some of the songs. also there were a few parts where the band was either unsure/unable to play the parts while moving fast. Other than that, it was totally awesome. Also they messed up the legend of zelda theme for a measure.

band nerd critique ahoy.

No.  What they did was seriously cool, and that sort of thing is seriously difficult.  Perhaps the sound quality was off, or maybe there were balance issues, but it is hard to convert something like that in a believable manner, of all things, into freaking Marching Band.
It was better than the a capella group that was getting sent around for a while.

You're right. I'm glad you pointed that all out. It's not like I was in marching band as highschool/college levels for six years. I was making comments. Way to leave out the part of the post where I said it was totally awesome. Jerk.
