Wilco - I am Trying to Break Your Heart

I haven't listened to this cd for about 3 months and I randomly busted it out today.  I always think I don't really like this cd as much as all of the others.  Then I put it on and realize that I'm being silly and that it kicks an immense amount of ass. Jeff Tweedy's lyrics and the sort of dreamy quality this cd has always makes me smile!

Circle = Awesome!
#12, not so much...enjoyable to a degree, but I'm not a huge fan.

I am listening to Bars, a rock'n'roll inspired hardcore side project involving members of American Nightmare and The Hope Conspiracy.
It's got the hardcore vocals, but the guitar riffs are just straight up dirty rock and roll...I love it.

Emperor - Towards the Pantheon

I absolutely love Ihshan's vocals on ITNE absolutely perfectly balanced in the mix, doesn't distract from the music at all and you can still make out what he is singing

May the Wolves Start to howl again
May the age of darkness arise
May we touch the black flames
Of the past again
And Forevermore

Sorry for pissing you off, Spinless, and for reviving dead threads...I came from Gamespot, where that happens all the time.  anyways, The Pick of Destiny Soundtrack.  A couple bombs, but for the most part, awesome stuff.  "History" makes me want to learn how to ride a horse.

Crispin Hellion Glover - The Big Problem =/= the solution. The solution = LET IT BE.

This is a pretty fucked up album, but at least it gave us the lines:

"Women are sweet
And girls are honey
But beat your meat
And save your money"

I also think the 5th track "Clowny Clown Clown" was the inspiration for Tom Green's "Bum Bum Song".

Their first album is a lot different to "Sphynx" and "Djinn" but I really like it, it's a lot more Raw and does contain plenty of hints as to what they'd evolve into. The riffs are amazing.

Queensryche - Hostage

Culture hostage.
I'm writhing in the cold grasp of justice,
As she turns away.
Blind is she supposed to be but,
Someone took a razor to her mask.

Rusted now the scales you hold,
The balance tipped by the weight of gold.
When will it end?
When will it ever end?

The judgment man holds my fate,
As I beg forgiveness with the
Plastic smile of a candidate.
