"I like your king Arthur/you always look like/you've taken off/one of those hats, or medieval helmets"

-I don't exactly know what this is, but it's got a running joke about king arthurs, so I'll go with that.

Isis - Merzbow EP.  I'm listening to the song "Hand Of Doom," which I believeis a Sabbath cover.  Someone wanna double-check me on that?

Yeah, it's a cover.

Why is Hand of Doom so often covered, especially by doom and sludge bands? I want to hear Electric Wizard or Sunn O))) do a sick as hell bowel discharging version of Electric Funeral or A National Acrobat. Actually, anyone know of ANY other covers of A National Acrobat except Sopor Aeternus' one (which is wierd as all fuck, though not quite as wierd as the Paranoid cover)? I probably have one somewhere in my music collection, but I can't think of anything.

Metallica does about half  of "A National Accrobat" on Garrage inc, it's sandwiched between the start and end of Sabbra Cadabbra though, arrangement actually works pretty well imo.

I was digging around through some boxes and shit and my parent's house last night and found my old copy of "One By One" from the Foo Fighters...so I am listening to that, and I'm enjoying it a hell of a lot.

I don't think this counts but I'm totally listening to myself play an acoustified version of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" by the Beatles. It's still kindof rough but I think once I'm done working on it I'll be happy with it and will proceed to post on a file storage place for great justice.

I gotta say I do a hell of a live show, even if the audience is just me. After all, if your audience is happy...

Borknagar - Acclimation

Amazing, Orgin has got to be a contender for album of the year. Suprised the hell out of me. The atmosphere on here is incredible. The keys, the strings the flutes are all incredibly well done and Vintersorg's vocals are incredible. Hugely reccomended.

I am currently (still) listening to various Wizard Rock, but at this particular moment is Bella's Love, "For Those Who are Desperate, for Those Who are Lost, for Those Who Have Acne". I mention this because it sung from the point of view of a girl named Eloise who is in love with Ron, and yet...the band's vocalist is male... Hrm.. It's a fun song though!

Ewigkeit - The Thought Police

This song is just so fucking brilliant. I get what people mean when they describe songs as 'massive' or whatnot. This song definitely needs to fill a stadium, with twenty thousand nutters fucked off their skulls dancing to it.

"And I know it seems the truth is far away from you,
And it's hard to know what's real.
But their house of cards is falling now, there's nothing they can do.
And what's true is what you feel."

Listening to Soundgarden's cover of "Come Together". It's surprisingly good, I really like the guitar although it seems a bit repetitive at times with just that one riff over and over..... but still good.
