Just a thread where you can see some of my stuff. Here is the cover I did for Tommy's mix that he sent to Tania:

Just a silly little watercolor. I used crayola brushes, BIG mistake - I can see that one of the hairs fell out! He added the text.

I'll add some more stuff in a bit. I don't have any hip things to share at the moment, just some still lifes and such.

Also I would like to point out that the combination of Sailor Moon and faux-Kerouac / Sonic Youth spelling is perhaps the purest distillation of what this forum is that we have yet been presented with.

I've been unproductive lately, but today I sketched a bit at the MFA with my friend.
This was a bust (heehee) of some guy named Dominique Francois Arago.

Ally the artiste! I love the scribbly quality of your work, it has its own personality coming through.

Good, now take one with your entire face in it.

The necklace looks really cool! Keep it and make her something else!
I'd say it looks great on you, but I don't know.
It looks great on that small part of you in the picture though.

At my college, in my year, you'd stand out as 'one of the really really talented ones'.
And most of my year is 18/19.

Yeah, it's not a very good college.
I mean, nobody in class remembers who Edward Hopper is until you show them Nighthawks, at which point they'd say 'Oh! I've seen that!'
Naturally, I'm easily impressed as a result of my peers.

Impressive doodle!

That's neat, Ally. As it's been said, I don't know art, but I know what I like, and I like that. I enjoy watercolours. I did some painting when I was a kid, but I thought they were invented as an easy way to do water scenes so that's all I ever did. What, I was young, I didn't know better! XD

What I really like about watercolours is the way you can go outside the lines and it still looks right, like the smudge of red you have there outside the bottom lip.
