Gigantour 2's site has finally gone up.

I'm sorta iffy on this year's lineup. Megadeth is actually producing good music again, amazingly, and we might get to hear something from their upcoming album on the tour (but if they play anything from Risk, I may shoot Dave Mustaine in the face). Opeth is very good, but overrated, and Arch Enemy's best days are behind them. Lamb of God is an annoying concession to the metalcore crowd (it figures they're the co-headliners), but at least it's not Avenged Sevenfold or something similarly terrible. The two who actually have me really excited are Into Eternity and Overkill, because they're totally awesome while being fairly obscure and don't tour out here often. I don't know anything about the last two bands on the bill, if anyone knows anything about them, then post your thoughts here.

Depending on how much tickets cost, I'll probably go just because it's actually not a 2 hour drive to the venue this time (Oakland is less than a half-hour away from me).

Thoughts, anyone?

Megadeath good. Opeth some good, some bad.

The rest I havn't heard of or they suck. Why do all festivals have sucky linups this year. Ozzfest has some good bands in its lineup then a load of metalcore bands.

Yes!

Megadeth, Opeth and Arch Enemy in one package? Sign me up!

It sucks that almost every metal show these days has to include a metalcore band, but there's nothing you can do about it. Last time i went to see Arch enemy i had to sit through Chimaira and God Forbid :/

I don't like Into Eternity, and I'm allowed to because they're from my hometown and I know for a fact we have much better bands.

HEY JOHNNY

WHY YOU GOTTA KILL MY BUZZ MAN

JEEZ

And like I said, while I'm not happy with Lamb of God or their place on the bill, Dave could have certainly picked a much, much worse metalcore band.

Lamb of God is the greatest straight up metal band to come out in years. And the fact that you lumped them up with the absolutely horrible Avenged Sevenfold has me slightly irked.

/snob.

Whatever, if you don't like'em, that's cool, just don't put'em next to A7SHIT.

Didn't the first one have Symphony X and Dream Theater? Anything is better than that.
